I'm so happy about extended tabletop because I LOVE board games and NO ONE I know will play them with me... So therefore I watch other people play them and live vicariously through them

You should totally check out some local game or comic book shops to see if they have game nights. There are some on Facebook and Meetup as well for different cities. You might be able to find a group nearby - can meet new people who have the same love of games you have!

Like the other guy said, try your local comic store. I had the same problem for forever until I went over to my closest nerd emporium and now I have a close circle of friends that I play weekly with! No guarantees you will luck out like I did but at the very least you can play some awesome board games with people!

Thanks for the encouragement and maybe I'll meet some people in college that will play with me, but as for now I'll just have to watch tabletop and search my new town for a comic book store or actually interact with people and leave the semi safe anonymity of the internet (I'm going to school out of state and about 11 hours from home).

Sarah Botts college is PERFECT for finding board game friends! Post on your college's reddit your interested in a group! Most colleges have a robust nerd culture!

Mightnt help you, but if you attend church it is also a great place to find people to play games. There are quite a few people in my church who love to play games, five of us have regular game nights.

Why were they surprised that Brandon wanted to spend his birthday playing a board game with Wil, Felicia and Pat?? Sounds like an awesome birthday to me. :D

Hey ***** - I played this again last weekend and *finally* beat both Cal and Raellen. I technically tied with another friend of theirs (both in terms of points and in the first tie-breaker, amount of gold), but they decided that I won because I had completed the "Domesticated Owlbears" Quest, which is Cal's house-rule for tie-breaker.

Extended, yes. Unedited, no. The video has an intro added (edited in), censored (edited in) and some instructions at the beginning (edited in).

I find it amazing how much a group of talented people can add to a game. Lords of Waterdeep, among my gaming group, functions as a 45 minute icebreaker to get us all out of our own heads from a week of classes and work, and into a gaming mood. This is a two and a half hour video, a monument to the production values of Tabletop and the intricacies of the hobby.

I wish I had a dedicated group of friends to get into this stuff with.

TOKYOBlues Hit up your local game store, and definitely go to the next Tabletop Day in April. My school even has a tabletop gaming club. I'm still trying to get a group together, but I think it's harder when you have kids. Good luck!

try to find some local events maybe, where i live people usually gather weekly at a cafe to play each others games(there is also a monthly event with more ppl and games), maybe you can find some group close by

TOKYOBlues - I have one friend into this stuff. He lives an hour away. The struggle is real.

Around the 1 hour mark, after the infamous Mandatory Quest betrayal, Felicia is making butterfly eyes at Wil and he's having none of it. Only one man's heart is filled with such darkness and rage as to not be swayed by such an adorable display. And that man is Wil Wheaton.

Love this episode. Great chemistry between all four of them.

First reaction: Right off the bat Felicia, Brandon, and Patrick have a fight set for them between Warfare, Arcana, and Skullduggery Quests. Wil's got Piety and Commerce so as long as he doesn't attract too much attention, he can go virtually without competition. But he's also leading the session and he's Wil so...

Getting to play with Wil and Felicia sounds like the best birthday present ever

As an amateur film maker and producer, I Absolutely Love everything about this. The shakiness of the cameras, the change of focus and volume. It makes me want to download the video and edit it just for fun. Legitimately. :)

I'm late to the party watching Tabletop. But damn, this is the best 2 1/2 hrs of gaming I've seen in forever. Wil Wheaton and Felicia Day, I want to game with you so bad. You cannot script this comedy. Thank you

I have gotten Game Nights/Weekends with a bunch of friends and great food and drink, as a birthday gift. And they have always been awesome and a hightpoint to remember. So I gaming on a birthday? Seems like a birthday well enjoyed.

Watching this again in full and I am still wetting myself at Will having a mardy! Amazing viewing. Best episode of Tabletop (or maybe tied with Ticket to Ride when Anne Wheaton knocks over all the trains...!)

I think this is my favourite extended episode, I like how naturally they enjoy the game and how they are bonding in pairs by the end!

This video had me in tears. So hilarious. I saw it mentioned a couple times in other episodes so I had to see it (yeah, I saw 'em out of order). I would gladly join the Silver Stars or the Red Sashes, though. Hooray for the whole Owlbear theme.

oh.. you don't even know how much I enjoy the production shenanigans of this show... I love this show so much!!

It was so funny how salty Will got and how much fun Felicia was having trolling Will.

I would die a happy man if I could play an awesome board game like Lords or Catan or Small World with THE Wil Wheaton. Wouldn't even have to be a posted Tabletop video, just a couple hours playing with him because he's so fun and actually gets competitive about it!

How did 100 people dislike this? This is one of my fave TableTop episodes!

I saw this episode a few months ago. Me and the other regular GM of our RPG group finally broke down and went halfsies buying the game itself off Amazon. We played it for the first time today. I love this game. Thanks, Will and everyone else; I never would have known about this game if not for you guys.

This is my second of these videos, and I can't believe I only just realized that the beardy creative guy is THE Patrick Rothfuss! I'm so jazzed, I love his books, they are THE best and have actually helped me greatly with talking to women. I hop onto tinder and I think "Well. What would Kvothe say?" and I try to act according to that and IT WORKS spectacularly. One kindly lady said "You're so good at flirting" and I'm not I am really not. I saw his name, then I thought "I remember The Name of the Wind", turns out I read it last year, and I've got to say that it was among my favourite books of all time. The Name of the Wind is fucking amazing. Rothfuss is badass.

No, Rothfuss doesn't kill the main characters, and there's actual, really obvious magic in the Name of the Wind, whereas you've only got big lizards in GoT. I still love Martin's work, but Rothfuss is probably my favourite.

GoT is low fantasy. GRRM doesn't want magic as a main point to character development and storyline. However, both GRRM and Ruthfuss have commented on eachothers works and are fans of each other.

just found out you have extended edition, so grateful!

I pre-ordered this game when it first came out, with running pre-orders for any expansions. No regrets thus far.

Having played this for the first time yesterday I really appreciate this video

This has been a true pleasure to watch, so darn funny and clever, thank you for this extended edition. I hate to do it but being a super Forgotten Realms nerd I have to point out to one of my favorite fantasy authors that Sune is the Goddess of Love and Beauty, not Light. Game on!:)

I love the extended versions because I get a better feeling about the game. I kinda run most of the games with my friends and sometimes the cut down version get rid of a lot the "down time", and I feel awkward and not prepared sometimes.

So. I just listened to the audio-book of Ready Player One (read by Wil Wheaton), and then listened to The Name of the Wind.... This video is soooooo appropriate.

"Pooping position"? Codex, you're a very strange girl but we love you for it. Lol

I own this game along with the expansion, Scoundrels of Skullport. It's one of the best games and most played in my board game group. Highly recommended, and best played with the expansion.
