I always get impressed when people ask me about my management style at the end of interviews. Remember people love to talk about themselves and I can speak from experience interviewing for positions I really appreciate people trying to get to know me better to see if they be a good fit. I think it’s always best to remember that an interview goes both ways. It should be a conversation not an interrogation.

Suggestion: 1: please provide suggestions to interview decision-makers, panels, and committee members on how to evaluate the interviewee. 2: Please advise the interviewee how to dress to impress for any interview whether it is for McDonald’s or AT&T. 3: Please advise how to prepare for a zoom interview.

I like most of these tips however sometimes I feel it’s too much and a bit of an overload. I was advised and do this at every interview. I ask “what’s your favorite part or favorite memory about working here thus far?”. Fun and more casual if a question.

Personally, I try to have all my questions answered before they go to the end and ask if i have any questions. In the last few job interviews (during the past few years) for potential positions, i even took the lead of the interview from the potential employer by forst introducing myself and key my experiences (why they should take me) and then ask them questions.

I showed willingness to work though but i recieved email last hour for an online interview so lack of preparation was there which is why I had no questions to ask for the interviewer but I said i think you have number of candidates awaiting for you so thank you so much for your time .

Thank you for all you do, Richard. I attended 2 interviews, but unfortunately, it seemed like they hired internally because they said that there would be a lower position, which would be vacant in the new year, and if I was interested they would consider me for it 😢
