@@FennecTECH I really think that this is quite inappropriate inquiry as they have done this for over 50 plus years. It's never hell; it's like a special haven for the wildlife and them. I will not answer any response. My time is too valuable helping others.

I was awakened by the sound of a great horned owl this morning! Lots of babies on my property, turkeys, rabbits, quail!

A lot of that stems from how he handles them; a lot of animals in my experience won't fight back if they don't feel that they have a way to escape. Martin holds them in such a way that they *can't* easily fight back. I can bet that if he didn't handle them in such a manner they'd be a lot more feisty. It's an example of the incredible understanding he has of the animals he rescues.

Horray Martin, you did it again saving another beautiful eagle. He's a lucky young sub-adult. How is the eagle with the handmade shoes? This story was truly incredible!!

He saved many birds. Especially as eagles, that needs much of knowledges how to handle eagles. He saved, take care of it until it completely healed patiently, then will settled it for free. It needs much of the compassion, kindness accompanied with patience. Also needs responsibilities too. It’s amazing.

Might be small but still quite huge! Glad the feisty baby made a recovery.

Man I would love to volunteer to help these animals.

I saw a previous one recently - that 3 yr old eagle had a concussion from being hit by a car too. Martin explained that eagle had a full crop and had a hard time flying. That's how that other one got hit..... LOL, it was THIS one! ......Thank you, Martin and Susan. Always touches my heart to watch your videos. I've had to contend with a lot of corruption in my life so haven't had much time to YT surf. I usually select long movies or music, to work on papers. 😁

As someone whose life has been reduced to ashes due to concussions, to see someone devote to giving these beings all the time and care the need to rejoin life makes me long for something similar for beings of of this species who have lost so much due to head injuries.

Although I'm not happy to see a bird get hurt, I am happy to see golden eagle up close. I just love these beautiful birds! I would love a T-shirt with one on it as you make gorgeous photos. But you don't have that in the shop :(

I love all of your videos. Thanks for you and your wife taking extra care of this wonderful wildlife. I have a question for you or one of your subscribers, what can we do to help with the strong wind noises? I am willing to purchase what ever they need for the microphones to at least cut some of the wind noise down.

5:44 Who made that noise? My parents had a standard poodle. His name was Alex but I called him Poodle.

You always make catching and handling these guys look so easy. Which shows your immense experience. When I have watched eagles caught on some TV shows, I have seen them being chased and chased with towels in order to catch them. I have always thought this was just a matter of person preference, but when I see you netting without having to traumatize eagles for prolonged times, it's made me wonder. Do you have an explanation of why some others prefer the longer, more stressful (I think) method of using towels? My only rationale is because of less likely feather damage?

A Golden eagle can most definitely fly with a full crop. I think that this eagle has a bone fracture somewhere that’s why it couldn’t fly away and literally crashed landed. I don’t reckon it will survive

? Why does the bird remain so calm once you have there legs, I would think they would attack with their beaks and even their talons.

From what Susan and Martin have taught me, when an animal is injured they don't fight back. This one having a concussion would be so vulnerable if left in wild. If they are okay, yes, the bird would have flown away. In his captivity, he is in human's domain and still wild, but Marin knows exactly how to capture with net and control the legs/talons. Yes, if he did not net properly and know how to control the wings, body and feet, ALL in ONE fast swoop, it would attack him. Once he has legs/talons, birds may flap wings, but, again, Martin just knows how to handle him. Much strength is needed by Martin to subdue. It is an art and science that Martin has been doing for 50 plus years. I hope this helps. I like to help others as i learn much as well.

From viewing other vids, Martin likes this place as no highways, people, very wild area in nature where bird can rest like this one did due to full crop of food and relax some before taking off. He may find a rabbit, rat, snake or something that has died in nature to partake. He tries to get them away from highway traffic for better success of living. It is truly a wilderness delight. You hav a really great question.

Martin releases them in safe locations to give them a chance to get their bearings. Since they fly, pretty easy to get where they want to be.

I have a couple of questions. That golden eagle upon release so they realize where that at before it got injured? And do eagles drink water or do they get there moisture from the meat they eat ?

I'm not Enoch Wildlife rescue but yes, they do drink water. They get most of the moisture from the food they eat, but will sometimes drink freshwater if available.

He had a full crop/belly from breakfast. He probably thought he was in heaven for raptors with Susan and Martin's great buffet for three weeks. Poor kiddos did fall right down. He probably hasn't had full crop since parents fed him. It's hard been a young raptor.

Scout has been with Susan and Martin about 16 years. It's not easy to tell the difference as both are Golden Eagles, but this is sub-adult. It's good question as we all learn from each other.
