Small Inexpensive Router Table

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video I'll show you a small, inexpensive, trim router table that's easy to use and store. It's a great option for a small shop or garage. I'll also show you how to improve the table by adding a french cleat for storage and improved workbench clamping. I also show how to connect your shop-vac for dust collection.
I received nothng from Rockler for doing this video. I bought the table with my own money.

A sweet, simple solution for those of us working in the corner of our garage. I have a small Rigid trim router that I love and really didn't want to spend hundreds on a table for it. Thanks for the great demo!

Thanks Ethan. Great to hear from the Down Under. This set up works just fine. I’ve recently met a master wood worker who had an unfortunate accident and can’t use his right arm for a few months. I’m helping him with projects and he’s sharing his wisdom. He has a huge shop and I’m being introduced to all kinds of new tools. Enjoy your new hobby!

I think you will be happy. If you connect a shop vac to the port, it works great. Really much cleaner. I use my small shop vac and picked up a rubber connector from Home Depot.

I don't have a table so I really don't know the hassle of changing bits while the router is in the table. If I have to unscrew this and screw that just to change a bit is it really worth it?

I have a DeWalt trim router so I just pop the router out, slip the collar off and change the bit. Pretty quick. The table makes some jobs easier. To me, it’s inexpensive enough to give it a try.
