I just bought this table from amazon. As usual, I don’t read the manual, tried it out myself... then I kinda get stuck on how to put the trim router on... Thanks for your video I got it now! Haha. Lazy guy...

You did a good presentation! More thorough for me! The only thing I recommend is to include the 1x3 attachments!? I have mine all set up and it does a great job! Thanks for the video!!

Several companies are selling these tops not only Rockler. The problem I encountered with the plastic plate, it didn't fit my finish router, a Ridgid cordless. I had to drill my own holes. When using the router in the table the plate tends to walk around in the hole, not sit steady. Also, the plate wasn't completely flat so used small pieces of paper tape on the top plate to keep it level. Instead of a long piece of wood to mount it substituted machine screws and wing nuts for holes on my workbench so can take it down when finished. It would have been nice if they cut a T-bar slot in the top along the width. I find the top helpful, but a bit of a hassle to set up and change router settings, definitely not replacing a router table. If you don't have a table, it will do.

This definitely isn't a replacement for dedicated router table. Space is a premium for me so that played a huge part of my purchase decision. It was definitely plug and play for me because I already had the Dewalt 611 router. I've not had any issues with the base plate "walking" while in use. The base plate adjustment screws would definitely be more effective if the had some sort of knob instead of a hex head.

I use a combination of a gopro and a small camera. Nothing fancy. I have also started using a lapel mic from amazon to get clearer audio.

Nice review! I'm about to pull the trigger on one of these as I have a small patio where I do all of my wood work (which also doubles as a little hangout & BBQ area so all of my tools need to be put away and taken out like your situation). One thing I noticed is that there aren't any guides on this table. I'm wondering what would be the best way to mark the center of the router bit to this (when I get mine, I plan on taking a ruler and lining up the fence as close to the center of the router's collet and drawing a line on the table as a point of reference, but if anyone has any ideas please share!)

It looks like the fence also secures the router in place. Right? This unit is on sale now 8-18-21 at Rockler $64 instead of $80.

I have the dewalt 611, I’m so sad how hard it is to find a table that will take the 611. Tickler has a new table that will but they don’t ship it to Canada 😐 so I was looking at this one for making cabinet doors, just routeing 1x4 tongue and grooves do you think this table will work? Thanks

Hello Natasha. While the Dewalt 611 isn't meant for heavy use I think that it would do fine. My only suggestion would be to not do the whole cut in one pass but rather two (or more) passes.

Nice to see I set it up mostly correct. Just about to order the vacuum attachment. Can you think about doing another video on how you actually use this router? I was wondering how accurate you need to be in setting the fence when doing certain routing techniques (fyi I'm a complete rookie). Great video btw.

Thank you for the comment. The fence can be tricky to get lined up, but using a good straight edge helps. Also, I always run at least one piece of scrap wood through before my actual project. That way I know that it is set up properly.
