I just got two 4-week-old sisters last night who weigh 170 grams but have all of their teeth and totally emaciated and weak and filthy. Just one day later, they have enough energy to walk around a little bit, but still in poor condition. They already look so much better after just one day, but it's going to take a couple of weeks before I can start getting them onto solids. They're so tiny but so sweet. Out of the 8 I've got right now, they're my biggest emotional investment. I'm determined to get them healthy.

Wow! The collapsed lung and all her other diagnoses had me extremely worried that she wasn't going to make it. And then I worried about such a small kitten being in pain. I was relieved when you mentioned that the vet had prescribed pain medication for her. I'm awed by her transformation! Now she looks much more like a healthy, fluffy kitten. Go Small Fry!!!

Julia Denise I rescued a maincoon off of the street by my church he had anemia ( he was covered with fleas and was bleeding had to have a bath every day ) he was starving he wouldn't have made it another week but, now he's a fluffy healthy little boy! ( it takes 3-5 years for maincoons to reach full size)

Thanks so much for posting this update! I've been worried about Small Fry and I am thankful you have given her the love and medical attention she so desperately needs. Last January 20th I lost my gray tabby Dustbuster (she loved to be vacuumed) to complications from hyperthyroidism. I adopted her from the shelter in October 2000 when she was three years old. She arrived pregnant and all of her kittens had been adopted, but not her, and they were going to put her to sleep very soon, so I adopted her immediately. She passed away at age 18 years and 5 months. I adopted my Russian Blue, Chiyo, from the same shelter in October 2006 when she was nine months old. To know the devoted love of a cat is one of the greatest privileges and blessings in this life.
