Small Craft Advisory IGNORED!! Boat in TROUBLE at Haulover Inlet | BOAT ZONE

Ойын-сауық

Haulover Inlet in Florida is a popular spot for experienced boaters seeking a thrill. Known for its challenging conditions and strong currents, the inlet connects the Atlantic Ocean to the Intracoastal Waterway and is famous for its rough waves and strong winds, which can make boating hazardous. Despite the risks, many boaters are drawn to the inlet's challenging conditions and the opportunity to navigate through it.

Big winds are back. During these days, we are experiencing some strong E NE winds, causing dangerous waves at Haulover Inlet. However, this hasn't deterred many boat captains from heading out and taking on the challenge of the sea. Coincidentally, this happens during the week of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, and we know that many new buyers want to test the new hulls at Haulover Inlet. Be honest, would you dare to go out on a boat in these weather conditions?

For a new boat i'm sea trialing rough conditions are the only time I want to take it out. All boats ride well when it's glass, a ride in calm waters tells you nothing about it

The hull design of Boston Whalers is so effective in heavy seas. They can handle situations that much larger boats struggle to not stuff their bows in. Especially the ones with low bows that are open for seating. They’re the most likely to wind up swamping themselves and sinking.

I see so many people in the situation’s without a jacket or PFD I’ve even seen girls fall off boats all the boat stays in neutral, expecting her to swim to it. Does she was on her back, but I’ve also seen people jump in the water with a jacket or life ring. I’ve saved a couple lives at Lake Pleasant, Phoenix, Arizona.

There is a theme here: dangerous white cap waves, overloaded boats, no life jackets, arrogance by the captain, and captains driving a boat with just luck! Yikes!!!!!! If any of these boats get in trouble a coast guard boat with a brave crew will have to risk their life saving these sorry asses. When there is an advisory not to go out, you don't! When the waves are higher than the bow of the boat, it is a huge clue to stay off the water. Smarten Up!

Apologize for a second post...but imagine 10-15-20-30 foot waves in the BLUE WATER, DEEP water and there is a vessel that is over 3 football fields long and can power through them while maintaining an exact heading and making at a minimum 30-35mph...of course I'm referring to US Aircraft Carriers, Frigates and the Destroyers....those ships take an absolute beating but I'm always shocked to witness one maneuver in high seas and the speed they can maintain...not easy to land on but it's impressive...

I'm betting that Cobia was over-capacity. What did they think they were going to accomplish going out on a day like this? Have fun????? Trust me, there's not a lot of fun to be had out there in a 24 footer in that kind of weather. And in case they didn't realize, death is always a possibility when you're talking Atlantic Ocean. The ocean just don't care how sorry you are for the decisions made that got you there.

I do have a question? With the tide going against the wind in the inlet. And as windy as it is out side on the ocean. WHY are these stupid idiot rich people going for a sunburn cruise? Once out of the inlet, the weather is going to be just as rough, you can see it in the video. More money than sense.

Correct. What are the odds all those people are excellent swimmers and could maintain a rescue posture in those white cap rollers? Swimming in a pool and swimming in waves over your head are two very different scenarios.

Why, oh, why would you put a boat and yourself? In such a horrible situation, the water is like a washboard. The chances of anyone going over flipping over. I could go on and on not 1 person with a life jacket on. You're falling that, and you'll never come back from it. I guess enough lessons weren't learned. After that, 3 person accident and death.😮
