Installed my air compressor in the Jeep under the passenger seat and love it. Used it today to blow compressed air on the interior as I clean and detail the Jeep after my most recent adventure.

Did I hear correctly that the locker solenoids are attached to the tank and not the compressor? Oh by the way, an awesome tutorial vid.

Thanks! To answer your question the solenoids would go on the compressor and not the tank (I mean technically you CAN put it on the tank if you wanted since both have tons of ports) BUT the wiring harness that goes to compressor has the wiring for solenoids as well so it would be easier to run it all off that. Plus it'll all be tucked nice and neat and out of the way. I would only use the tank personally for the air inflation stuff.

Are you worried about gear sliding around and hitting the switch back there? I’d be worried something would turn my compressor on while I was driving.

No because usually that area is clear and I block it off with something flat like folding solar panels or my chairs. That's by habit even prior to this because we plug stuff up to that 12 volt and AC outlet when we travel. So that's why I put it here knowing that area is usually blocked off anyway

Not to be that guy. But duty cycle is how long it can operate before you need to let it col off. 100% means you can run it continuously or 100% of the time as long as your under 80psi but when running over 80psi you will need to turn it off periodically to cool off. Other ratings you would see would be like 50% over 20 minutes. Which would mean you can run it for up to half the the time over a 20 minute time frame.

Yeah. It's ok to be that guy but I DID say up to 80psi. I prob could've elaborated more on it after
