The whole reason I posted the original was to comment on the vocals not being put through a million effects like half of the artists do live these days. It's gotten out of hand.
There will never be another Family Stone.......
I PLAYED IN ALL 1969;&70 ALL LEEDS HIGH SCHOOL BAND EVENTS,FOOTBALL GAMES,AT HOME OR TRAVELING TO OTHER SCHOOLS. & VETERAN'S DAY PARADES,& HOME COMING AT LEEDS HIGH SCHOOL IN 1969 ,& 70.

This gives me the chills
This was peak funkadelic. Brilliant!
Now that's a Shindig ... All you squares go home!
There should be an autobiographical movie made on this phenomenally talented band, Sly and the Family Stone. Let Lorenz Tate portray Sly Stone and Megan Goode the lead singer. 🎶 ♥ 🎤 🎹 🎸
I was into sly when i was in kindergarden. Ike and tina too. I didnt know what predudice was yet. Never adopted it but have to live with it from time to time. I was just into the beat and the show. Cool is cool and they were cool. Still holds up today. I was so in love with tina turner. Those shammy skirts and the ike- ettes sly rare earth awb Motown wabc new york heard it there first. Right on power to the people
hell yea love this song !!!!!!
Hay its in my songs hay nighters...
Nobody like Sly got too see him twice and a riot after both show’s…Sly without a riot was like driving a convertible in a hailstorm…We could use more of his music….RRHOFame should put Sly and the Family Stone in…Just think Woodstock … Than again the money maker’s owe a lot of musicians and bands…Live on Sly..
It was great I came from there
Music was so unifying back then. Where we have gone wrong?

I am so glad I'm not a Gen X baby. I was born in 1963 and I've been listening to them since 1969 when they peaked. I feel bad for those GenXer's.
We had such great music
You gotta love the outfits they wear.
Great song 🎶
This is real music the music you had today that's my music for real it causes death chaos and confusion listen to the lyrics the difference between these lyrics and this style of music performed by. ,, artists music artists there was killing that was shooting that was corruption from the top to the bottom of all governmental facility throughout the world but we stood for peace and love they called us hippies well then that's what we were but we didn't go around doing anything but having fun house party boy meets Girl girl meets boys not gays and lesbians hey I'm just keeping it real it was White's love whites blacks love blacks whites love blacks blacks loves White I'm going to leave it there 💯💯💯👑👑👑❤️
Why couldn't I be there.
Sly was about 25 yrs old here...so much success early on...he burned out before he was 35...became a coke addicted recluse....sad.

FUN MUSIC. It always makes me happy.
That was DEEP
When the groove is right, all the problems are put on hold for the celebration.
Everyone having a good time
This was soooooo good!!!!!
My brother turned me on to Sly...had a couple albums but didn't know I was dropping the needle on em...😆
Folks gettin' down with they bad selves...
the on and only origianl sly and his amazing band
The brothers know what it's about
When it was groovy. It's that simple
I hope Sly is alive and well, he was in bad shape. My brother, stay strong.
Jerusalem you ready? My boys be 18 in October 2022. Celebrate with me. Love DeShawn.
He blew his mind out in a car. Smoking PCP on New Year's Eve 1,969.
Bom dia A todos os black PANTHERAS SALVE
Sly had the most integrated group of musicians in the business: women, white, black....made no difference what group they were in.....
EVERYBODY !!!!!!!!!!!!
In all the years I've been a fan I've never heard Prince praise Sly and the Family Band as a key influence... even though Larry Graham was Prince's biggest influence and played the bass for Sly. If you know otherwise please comment. I followed Graham when he was in Graham Central Station and both Sly and Prince and think a LOT of Prince's funky sound owes to both the above.
One of the greatest anti racism songs ever! Sly has another great anti racism song that gets right to the point, but you can’t say it’s title anymore.
Such a small concert crowd for Sly & The Family Stone.
