I recently rented the Piaggio Medley for a week's holiday and was really impressed by it. + points: quiet and smooth engine, strong acceleration from standstill, excellent ride and handling which meant it was fun to ride, storage for 2 helmets under the seat, USB socket and trip meter with temperature gauge. - points: lack of wind protection, rather cramped riding position, cheap plastics and not much storage space upfront. I wouldn't swap it for my Yamaha Majesty S though.

Great video, thanks boys. However, now I’m really confused - cannot decide between either! I’ve never ridden a Piaggio - have had Honda Forza 300, Burgman 125, 400 and 650 and had a PCX years ago when it first came out and had that horrid little bump on the seat - got rid of it a week later. They’re bringing out a new PCX 125 and Forza 300 this year in summer I believe though the Forza 300 will have a higher seat than it’s predecessor so that’s out for me sadly! Keep the interviews coming - they’re the most informative I’ve seen on YT so far!

Two points I picked up on and only a few minutes into the video. The first being about the PCX having a weak drum brake on the rear. Not in my opinion. I’m 115 kgs and it’s the best rear drum brake I have ever experienced without a doubt. Secondly, the PCX is one of the worst bikes to work on in my experience. To check the valves you have to strip the scooter from the back forwards including removing the passenger grab handle. I once took mine to Hatfield’s of Crowthorne who told me that the valves never often need adjustment and just to bring it in and they’ll have a listen to it and tell me if they need adjusting! That’s how much of a pig that job is to do. That said, I love the PCX and how it rides. For a 125 they pull well and the short wheelbase gave them a decent turn in the corners or through traffic. Apparently the new model has fixed the shortcomings in the widely criticised ride quality. Best regards Scoots

yeah the Piaggio Meddles vs Honda SH125i ? plz ... i am loking for one of them but like we see honda have more history on 125 inyection and start stop than piaggio. but desing of 2016 are better on piaggio and have more space to hold the helmet and litel more cheap.

Thanks, a very informative comparison. In descriptions of the PCX Version of 2020 from South America u. Asia is shown a keyless system. Do you think that has advantages o. disadvantages? I ask, because I may be interested in a model from 2019.

i have the pcx 2015 and them foot boards aren't standard I do 400 miles a month and never skips a beat

Pcx won't do 70. Not 70gps anyway. It'll do about 60 gps. 65

honda is better made bikes..and from 2011 with startstop system.5 year later the piaggio..

Piaggio are just as good. Piaggio have been making scooters alot longer than honda.

Poor back drum brake, rubbish suspension, an aerodynamic screen that pushed the wind directly into your chest which almost pushed you off the back of the bike! Sold it after 3 weeks, never again!

for 3 and something grand the bikes shiteeee id much rather a ktm rc 125,yamaha yzf125 or an enduro like wr 125 or a dt 125/dtr 125 a ped is just not worth 3 grand

You're comparing a geared bike to a scooter witch is irrelevant. Besides premium scooters will keep up with 4 stroke 125s. Lol
