Im going to make a lot of this content... 😉
I tried a method this week on a 7.65 pistol using only a ferric Chloride solution and few drops of hydrogen peroxyde on the cotton. It worked but i was struggling to get an eaven coat of rust on my parts, maybe because i was letting the part rust for only a few hours. Its seems not as quick as i tought. I should try letting it rust for 24 hours or using the same recipe as you and see if the result is better
You are indeed, the best! I tell you what, you are so brilliant you need to write a book and publish it. Anyone who cares about what you do will buy it, and people looking for ways to fix things the way you do. You are amazing! See you in the next installment.

For metal cleaning, the best tool is an organic compound, sodium salt, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, it kills only oxides, the metal itself does not touch, the result is super.
Extremely helpful and informative, thank you :-)
You confirmed once more, that you are the best!🫡👏👍

Can be used for stainless steel?
Great info. Does the steel wool need to be degreased? Thanks.

Use brand new steel wool 👍not used.
Thank you for making this video!!! I have one question. Do you allow this solution to go inside the barrel? Would that be bad?
@restaurato6629

Dont use this mixture inside the barrel of guns. Is not a good idea. 😉
Sir can I use Hydrocholic acid 35% in solution? ( Thx you for in advance for any help ) 😃😃
I made this mixture based on backyard ballistics video a while back. One thing you are missing is you didn’t mention the % concentration of your ferric chloride. I’m guessing you have 38% ferric chloride since you used 4.4 grams. My bottle of Ferric chloride is 64% so I had to use less.

Yeah i forget that. Is 38%

i can't find ferric chloride, but i can find anhydrous Iron Trichloride pure powder, is there any suggesion how i turned to ferric chloride?
I have a small doubt 🤔 I have what it is 6mm There is a steel ball bearing bar, can we put gun powder in it and hit it, please clear my doubt, sir, I want to make that mine.
Hydrochloric acid .5 gram or half ML??

Da sempre chimico 😉
After making my own solution with a similar mixture last month and bluing 2 long guns, I have a few suggestions. Keep in mind I’m not still figuring things out. You may know better than me. 1. Only do a single pass with the q tip or cotton ball each iteration. Don’t wet the same area twice or it won’t rust as evenly. 2. Place the parts in your bathroom and raise the humidity by running hot water for a couple of minutes to help rust. 3. 15 minutes of boiling is unnecessary. With experiments I found out dousing the parts in scalding hot water for 5 minutes works. I pour boiling water into a 3” PVC tube long enough for my rifle and let it sit 5 minutes. 4. There is a store bought solution that is identical, but uses nitric acid instead of HCl and (I think) adds soap. It’s called Laurel mountain forge barrel brown and degreaser. It works much better than my homemade solution, but applies the same. It is prohibitively expensive though.
ciao, ho provato a duplicare questa formula, ma difficilmente ottengo risultati omogenei, con colorazioni marezzate sul marroncino, anzichè nero, hai idea di cosa potrei aver sbagliato?
