Slow Roast
Спорт
Exploring some new slabs around home in South Africa and taking to the air attempting some slow motion acrobatics.
When I think of home, I think of a Sunday "Slow Roast". In this edit I kept the slow motion to try squeeze out all the juices.
Top action sports film maker, Clay Porter, missioned down to Kommetjie after shooting for his Death Grip 2. He brought his Red Raptor cam and we managed to get some rad angles around home. Ian Thurtell did a masterful job with the water angles, dangling his toes in some sharky waters to get the shot.
Hope you enjoy!

Rad music selection 😎👌🏼
Surfing and cinematography are top notch but what I found most impressive is how you guys find these waves around cape town. Great job
Close up slo-mo shredding to Debussy should be a genre
Love the music choice on the second half👌

Glad you like it! It’s definitely something very different to have classical music to surfing.
Great photography and edit.......Your surfing is so smooth...beautiful...keep chasing.....
I surfed Elands a few times in 76 with some other Aussie guys,we would go there and wait for the swell ,just us most of the time, the bull kelp reminded me of it,low tide ,board upside down dragging yourself back to the lineup.Great vid thank you.

That wave with the kelp looks gnarly cuz the kelp would hold you under and try and trap you I would imagine

Thank you !
When I see kelp like that I think…..big sharks!
I remember catching waves like that when i was young growing up in Cape Town , shooting down a steep face and then the kelp puts the brakes on and you just hope you have enough momentum to keep going , looks like you did, well done !
