I don't think he's drunk. Most likely he's worn out, because he toured for a while that summer. I watched this when he streamed it and that was like, September 2nd. I believe the tour started in May or June. So, add 4 months of pretty much constant singing to his voice for this performance and that's what you get.

Man John is brave taking the microphone after that intro by David. Made me wish David sang it all!

wow...i think im the only one right now who likes his voice like this...its a switch up...his voice kind of sets the mood of the song to me...the whole atmosphere during the song is spot on. its like dismal emo -ish. im not really a fan of emo but this performance was amazing to me.

It’s not a $100,000 guitar amp. It a guitar amp that simply costs that much. When it’s was built it was only a couple thousand. But, you know the deal with Dumbles.

john is notoriously known to smoke pot from what i hear. big deal. but it seems very likely that he's high and/or drunk in this performance, and i remember in atlanta he said, "i'm high as a kite on back medication." but unless he took four vicadin, he wouldn't be that loose. trust me, i use to take vicadin on a regular basis.
