    Hi Emily! Great question: The only issue really is when you do underarm turns, where your fiance has to lift his hand over your head and spin you. Here's a link to our spin video that might help: bit.ly/2RnFNbX. No need for your fiance to lift the hand too high; just over the head is perfect. Fight the temptation to duck under the arm, 'cause that makes it look worse. Good luck!

    Where would I use there skills? At any club I go to.. I my city of Austin Texas, the majority of clubs have dance floors the size of postage stamps rowed with sorority girls who have had two shots too many and guys who are just yanking their partners around with ,ero regard to LOD. So these skills, along with tiny steps and a 1 2 3 4 count come in re handy. THANK YOU.😅

  • @jcdanceco

    @jcdanceco

    The best way is always to dance through the moves, so it looks natural and not statically posed. Just a simple dance hold, an underarm turn, a lean and a dip are always good ones. Check out this video that we did for "Top 4 Wedding Photography Dance Poses": bit.ly/3rLYt3q. Hope that helps! 😊

    Hi! Just out of curiosity, what is the beat count of “Together” by Matt and Josie Minikus This is a really beautiful song but I’m having trouble finding the beat/ rhythm. Please help! :D thank you!

  • @jcdanceco

    Hi Lizzie, great song! Yes, these soft acoustic songs are challenging. During the first 50 seconds of the song listen for the first chord played on the piano after a short break. This will be beat 1. From there you can hear the slight emphasis the lyrics have on beat 1. As for the chorus, the word "we're" is sung on beat 1. Let us know if you need any more help! Happy dancing!!!

    @@jcdanceco I see! Yes that’s quite difficult lol I get the beat of the chorus but the beginning of the song is quite hard to find it. I hear 1,2,3 4 pause 5 pause. And it changes 😅 but beats 4 and 5 stay consistent most of the time. I’m not even sure if I’m counting correctly haha 😂 thank you for your insight!

    I think I finally found it! 1,2. 1,2. 1,2. ? Lol 😂

  • @jcdanceco

    @jcdanceco

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@lizzie1040 Haha! You can definitely count it in 1,2 if that's easier for you... especially if you just plan on dancing a simple side to side Homebase. However, I believe the song is in 4 beats. It's just the very beginning that has that slight pause which throws it off. At the very beginning, if you count 1 on "promise" (which goes with the first chord) and then count 6 beats (which includes an extra 2 beats during the pause), then the rest of the song should be in 4. So 1,2,3,4,5,6. 1,2,3,4. 1,2,3,4. etc. Hope that makes sense! Very challenging! But then again, if you just walk on the floor during the first part as an intro to your dance, you don't have to count that part at all! :)
