Great video Troy, ironically I just replaced both front pillars of a matador body with your help. Now in process of painting the body. It’s early version of matador and doing the mark donahue paint job. Where paint lines are horizontal. Thanks for tutorials!!!

Go with some die-cast eventually you will run out of topics with just HO slot cars. Unless you start with 1/32nd scale like Carrera etc. I'm a model builder for over 30 years and I can see your frustration with tools. I suggest you visit a model shop or online at www.micromark.com. You can get 124. Chassis that any model body will fit can upgrade motors etc but thee rates she does go uphaha yea real satisfied surry lost the bookmark will find luv scooter d slot racing foever

Also when attaching a screw post use liquid Testors cement, Then reinforce it with Pieces of the body plastic mixed in with the liquid Testors and you won't have it break off when your done

The bad thing about diecast conversion is the width is usually to narrow. Or lengths is long. I been trying to find the vids about shortening and widening. This guy had it down. You can shrink the mold. But takes learning by trial and error Another is molding silicone and resin. You can

Instead of using a hack saw or the dremel for cutting down the screw posts , you could use Micro saw blades made to fit x-axt knives. Available from Micro mark

Have you ever fixed a crack on the outside of the body on a t-jet?

I've tried making a NASCAR HO die cast and it didn't turn out so pretty 🤔 Would love to see a how to vid on making one 🏁

I have diecast car collection,I never can get a metal body to match up to a slot car wouldn't that ruin your track?I've managed to make 2 hot wheels plastic body's work.
