Maria's mood is extimable by the placement of the chignon. It can range from low nucal to basically frontal. The more it is anterior, the more she is confident.

This was crazy impressive. I can't wait to see her in the later stages. I REALLY hope this Maria shows up against Iga in that QF! ❤

Maria a great player watch. I remember see Sakkari a few month ago. What these TV cameras no show is complexion of WTA player. In the Spring, before the tan, really healthy skin tone. It really cool to see. All sort of perk, be an outdoor athlete. Sakkari a solid striker. She a LOT of fun to watch. She the only player have the tennis workout have 'vanity' result, too. I no surprise if she have highest level of enjoyment, out there on tennis court.

What this match said to me: Sloane needs to not go midline in speed and placement and consistency (which works against lesser ranked) Sloane needs more speed of shot, more placement of the ball, and more leg hustle against the higher ranked players. Sloane has been playing well, and comfortably so, but she needs to push to the next level. Great job Sakkari, improvements are evident.

Sloane has been too lazy a player the past few years to compete with the top players. Only by the second set did she realize - OH - this is clay maybe I need to come to the net.

Sloane's game is way too passive. She's got one of the best forehand of the WTA, yet, she holds back at most times. Same can be said of her backhand. Defense and defense can't win you titles in today's tennis. One would have bet that having tried that tactic over the years and seen what failure it was, she would change and try something else. But no, her tennis IQ just seems to stagnate.
