All I had in the 60s was inner car tube cut into half inch strips, and a leather shoe tongue from old shoes ! A branch fork cut from the hedge and I was off! All high tech now! When I see what can be done with a Shepherds slingshot I can hardly believe my eyes!

I have to say there is something immensely satisfying about pulling off a Good Shot with My Slingshot weather its a Tin Can or Pigeon or Rabbit using a Slingshot accurately is a skill

It's a lot of fun if you can handle it, I agree with you my friend 🤝👍

I've found tubes definitely last longer, especially if you attach them with tabs at the fork end. They have a stiffer pull for the same performance as flat bands. That can affect accuracy if you're struggling to pull them. They can throw slightly heavier ammo than the comparable flat bands with the same trajectory, but they won't accelerate it any faster. Within the realm of flat bands, I've found simple shot bands to be the must durable and in the top five for speed. Although still no comparison to tubes in terms of durability. For close range and heavy ammo, tubes at standard draw length or flats in butterfly. For a general purpose EDC, I'm still with flats, the best compromise for unknown shooting circumstances. Cheers 👍

i tried these round gummies for the first time a week ago, time will tell how long they last, i can't give enough info on them at the moment as i've only been using them for a short time. Durability I can already say that it is better than the flat rubber👍

@ A store bought wireframe slingshot/wrist rocket uses 3 mm interior my 9mm exterior tubes. Extremely stiff compared to what you and I are shooting. I think that is where tubes got a bad reputation. Of course you can't hit anything when you're shaking trying to pull the bands. Tubes generally have more torc in terms of weight they can pull. But they are less efficient at acceleration. Think of a sports car versus a dump truck with equivalent horse power engines. Neither is worse than the other, simply different uses. If I want to move something heavy, then tubes/dump truck is the better choice. The sports car/flats is faster at zero to sixty, unless I load it down with extra weight. So I want lighter ammo to get maximum speed. In practical terms, a delicate bird high up in a tree. Flat bands and light ammo. An angry bear in my yard within 20 meters. Tubes and heavy ammo.

@ By the way, I watched your video on butterfly shooting two days ago, after having previously given up on it entirely. I tried again and after two days of practice I'm up to about 65-70% hit rate. Still not as good as standard draw, but that's simply a matter of more practice. Following your method as closely as possible, I eliminated cheek burn and got much more consistent at finding the right sight picture quickly. In other words, thank you for taking the time to share your knowhow. 👍

Du schießt,auf über 30 Meter gerne Butterfly. Ich weiß es nicht ob,ich mal probieren soll . Irgendwie habe ich ja etwas Schieß davor . Soweit ein Band zu ziehen, muss man ja auch nicht aber ..... Es reizt mich,ich habe schon paar Mal auf dich gehört,was du mir sagtest....

Es gibt nichts besseres als BUTTERFLY

Was ist nun tatsächlich besser? Ein weicheres Gummi, also das flache Gummiband oder eben die runden Gummies? Ich habe bei mir festgestellt, dass ein rundes Gummi mir nicht entgegen kommt, also einfach zu starr ist, zu unflexibel und sich auch schlechter auseinander ziehen läßt als z.B. das flache Gummi. Es gibt, so glaube ich auch 4 eckige Gummies. Habe ich irgendwann einmal vor vielen Jahren gesehen. Werden vielleicht gar nicht mehr hergestellt. Schönes Video aber ich bleibe bei meinen flachen Gummies. Auf fast 50 Meter noch etwas zu treffen traue ich mir aber wirklich nicht zu. Gratulation, dass Sie das können! Das ist beinahe schon ein Wunder dass dies geht!

This testing doesn't seem very scientific... All it seems to test is the operator's skill, certainly excellent. I would have liked to see maybe a comparison between the two rubbers maybe measuring impact force using same length for both.

@ we call that tube 2050, 20 inner diameter 02 mm and 50 outer diameter 05 mm. 1632 or 1636 rubber tubes are more accurate and more soft for pulling. Take care bro and thanks for the show.

Wellcome dear bro, im a new fan for slingshoting this is my first year,and i think i do well, but there is so much problems for slingshot in Morocco when i leave first thing slingshot is illegal,and flat bands are expansive and they broke quikly,the 8 mm steel ball are expansive too.
