I've never seen anyone get this ending. It barely is an ending.. It's basically just allowing you to see more paths you didn't do. That's kinda cool. I didn't expect that at all. I'll definitely watch more if he plays again

The thing about the reset ending is, I'm pretty sure you can't actually keep going after it. Also, a little theory of mine is that the reset ending has canonically happened twice before the 'start' of the game, with the Long Quiet having given each and every chapter II princess to the Shifting Mound in one of the prior loops.

it’s actually an ending, the game actually ends and starts the end credits once you make the first choice, Charlie’s PC just didn’t let him do that lmao but yeah, the restart part of it is basically an invitation to give it another go and collect more perspectives so that you can actually make a choice instead of being undecisive

If you like the Contrarian you should watch a playthrough someone gets the Cheated on lol I thought contrarian was my favorite till I met cheated and adored him

I love how he says she has the most "murder eyes" possible right before making a decision that causes her to become several times scarier than before. It's a good moment early on.

For those that enjoyed this experience, the game’s getting a free DLC expansion at a later time, and Black Tabby’s other release, Scarlet Hollow, is still in early access with 3 (actually it’s 4 whoops) of its planned 7 chapters playable. (They stopped development on Scarlet Hollow entirely to make this game and it paid off so well) These devs are cooking up crazy right now and I couldn’t be happier about it

@@grimkeeper64 The main way to get beast is by retrieving the blade after going down without it. However there is another way to get there without doing that which is more specific and I assume that's the one you found. As for the adversary... Yeah I can't blame you there.

there's a deep, twisted melancholy in the ending Slime chose. It will continue as it did during his playthrough, at least for one more cycle. But there's no guarantee that it will continue that way even one more time, let alone forever. It's an ending that stinks of cowardice, an inability to choose, a refusal to accept consequence. Ironically, it's likely what The Narrator would have done, were he in Slime's shoes.

honestly i love how the narrator twists the narrative for the hero. the princess WILL end the world, but not right away or even on purpose. every world ends, all things die, but that’s simply what change is. the princess represents time and change, and those things don’t consciously or immediately end everything, they’re just byproducts and how everything makes room for more

So glad you came back to this game I really hope a ton of people start playing this game and realise how truly amazing this game is and the depth it has there is so much to do

You aren't kidding when you say there's so many endings. I'm pretty sure to get *to* the end of the game it's around 4 hours playtime. I decided to 100% the game. I have 23 hours playtime. (Although that's probably a good chunk slower than other people with 100%)

So glad you came back to finish this game. If you wanted to do more routes I would love to watch you stream this some more! Also if you were a fan of this game you should check out the podcast 'The Magnus Archive.' It shares a lot of the same horror elements and the main character is voiced by the same person who voiced the narrator & co.

Nah, there’s a worse one. It’s when you taunt the voices when you approach the mirror, then slay the princess. Your alone in the deathless world and all of the voices hate you. I like to think this is the neutral end and you decide what you really wanna do after the this loop.

(Spoiler)Throughout the whole thing I hoped we’d end up getting to leave with her. In the end, when he’s given the option to take the blade, when the hero advises it’d be a good idea to take the blade, I agree with him. In doing so, you make it so that you only have two options, you can either stab her, or wipe your memory and make it so that you never have to rid her of existence. But, after looking it up, had you not taken the blade after the hero suggests it, you are able to leave with her, thus giving you a happy loving ending. But in the end, the ending we got is what we got, personally, I agreed with slimes choices overall throughout the entire play-through, but it does leave a sour taste in my mouth how it ended. But, I feel as though I would’ve gotten the same ending having agreed with a majority of the dialogue choices and having admittedly agreed with the choice at the end with taking the knife, myself. Anyways if you’re someone that actually ended up reading this comment, I HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY AND I WISH YOU NOTHING BUT THE BEST!!

oh hey slime you think youll come back for more when the free big update drops?? its called the pristine cut. theres a lot you didnt get to see still even with the game as it is, the den, the wild, eye of the needle, apothiosis, the adversary, the thorn, the beast, the secret special ending, the freedom ending, the asccension ending, the deathless world ending... i wonder how much the pristine cut update will add?

We know it has nothing to do with OSDD, but from someone who has it this game reminds us of it very much. The way some remember some don’t, some forgive some don’t, all shattered and broken but coping differently all stuffed in one body trying to get through. The princess remind us of trauma that causes OSDD/DID. How some remember her fondly and some don’t due to their memories being different. It’s so familiar, the feelings of all of the voices. This game causes me specifically both comfort and discomfort from how much we relate to it.

Incredible how, for just a few moments, even while turned off, Charlie's PC still streamed. A metaphor for the perpetual stagnation. Life really just does some things sometimes.
