Indeed, behind the traditional love story, in fact he's truly dealing with what France is today, becoming closer to the extreme-right wing by the day and that has been the case for almost two decades. He deals with the rejection he knows, being of Arabic origin, whereas our Republic is / was perceived as something that guaranteed equality. It is truly a very deep song. The whole song also deals with his career as a singer, meeting his audience, wondering if his success is somehow justified. It's also an appeal, then. It also deals with the fact that whatever France does, that country is systematically evicted from the Eurovision: "Can't you hear the pain in my words?" There are just so many layers in this song, plus the great voice, that it is indeed a great song. "Do you love me? Or don't you?" 🥺🥺🥺

"Very rare", we literally send a ballad every 2 years and expect to win with the same type of songs, I don't even have the surprise of which song will come out, wow, a ballad again, I'm french to say this btw (Ofc he was one of the best singers, but we, french people are scared to do smth else than ballads because of 2022 and 2014,but we don't try enough to REALLY win

As a fan of francophone music, I've followed his career so far and I can guarantee he's one of the best artists in France and probably one of the most talented ones in Europe too: the song is good so...I really hope that Eurofans will reward him with a lot of votes.

That's the kind of pure music that we usually bring from Italy to Eurovision but still we always landed 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc... and we won with maneskin... Lol hope France could win or stay 2nd after Angelina mango 😂❤ W la France, que est la patrie de ma grand-mère 💓
