I remember paying $150 to have a katana sharpened the traditional way, my buddy only charged me $28 (granted he used a similar setup to yours). Both work about the same.

I believe it! Doing all that on a stone is next level! I would probably would charge the same if I did it by hand on stones. But also speaks to you can do the same thing many different ways and get similar if not the same results.

I don't think the owner sharpened a nice katana just to cut blackberry vines. 🤔 Does he get along with wife and neighbours? LOL 😂😂😂

lol 😂 blackberries are such a nuisance over here! And they are super tough. So a katana is very fitting for their demise. 😎 but I’ll make sure to keep the local news on. I know back when katanas were made the sharpness was based on how many felons it could go through with one sweep. If I’m correct the highest they got was 7. But if someone that knows better than me reads this chime in with how many it was. 😊
