slender man had more personality and emotion than anybody else in the movie. which is kind of funny, because slender man is supposed to be this mysterious figure that has no face.

When the Slender Man movie was being made, it shouldn't have been made by Sony. It should've been made by Crypt TV as their first movie. This still would be garbage because "Slendy" stopped being scary like a year after that game came out. Who else wants to see a Crypt TV horror movie that includes most of their monsters?

Duh! Sorry, but all movies made by fans with no budget are better than movies made by big studios with billions of dollars. The reason being, the former understand and love the source material, whereas the latter don't understand anything but money and don't care for the material at all.

You know a more woodsy, chaotic, almost fairy inspired Slenderman interpretation could work. Folklore of old has the fairfolk typically be a mixture of dangerous, trickster inclined, and inscrutably alien in what offends or appeases them which can all fit Slenderman well it's just... you need to incorporate the 'woods' aspect in more ways than just literally.

Matthew's Corner that can also work. That version actually felt scary unlike certain other takes but could use a few changes. In the film, Keith should be the only one to survive either by somehow outsmarting Jeff or apologizing to him for all the torment he and his friends caused. Plus they should also make the death of his friends a little less predictable and repetitive by maybe having one or two of them survive and be taken to the hospital. Then Jeff would follow them and kill them there.

@@DavidAllgaier_ That'd make sense. Though, I'm not sure about Keith surviving. I don't have that big a problem with him dying along with everyone or him being the sole surviver, but remember the horror punchline. I'm thinking if he does survive, there has to be a horrible implication. Like, they delve further into the idea that Jeff is a revenant, like Jason Vorhees or Micheal Myers except he talks. And if Keith survives, maybe he finds out that Jeff is still following him and won't stop until he's dead. Also, maybe something less extreme for Randy. The whole peeing on his mom's grave, then having his nuts stabbed seems a bit much.

No please Fish, feel free to go all out on Sony. Considering their new censorship policy that went into effect recently, I have very little sympathy left for the company. Still waiting on Ape Escape 4 guys...

This movie was ass, the movie wasn't scary it was boring and confusing . The plot went every which way, the characters were 2 dimensional. The way they set up the story itself was so bad and obviously it was ripped off from the ring. It was so bad, but i got a good laugh from how awful it was

Now yes the girls are cute but looks aren’t what I look at, if The only that made a character good was their looks then that would mean all the marysues out there would become top quality. They don’t have much personality and they add nothing to the plot, they’re boring and two dimensional. Slendermans design is better than others but it doesn't make up for the poor plot and badly written characters

Theory: If aleycats arc possibly was about pregnancy and she came back from probably beeing hunted by slenderman with the knowledge that "sacrivising something important to you" and something holding in her hands that we never see , maybe she sacrivised her unborn baby in desperation and that was what she was holding

Literally one of the few monsters that could work on a found footage-style film... and they don't do a found footage film...

allegedly the movie was supposed to come as rated R and was longer which included the eye stab scene and more scenes of slender man. But Sony decided to cut the movie up because they didn't want controversy because of the slender stabbing. At least this movie had a good soundtrack imo. The composer worked on GOT.

I’m basing this comment off a review but, why is this Slenderman in any way a threat? You summon him, the most other incarnations just pick victims or ones close to them. The fact that you need to seek him out in order to become a victim personally kneecaps the horror. Aside from that, the only time he kills any of them is when they literally put themselves up as bait or a sacrifice. In say TribeTwelve, he literally drags Noah into a dimension comparable to the punishment of Sisyphus, no matter where he walks Noah’ll be lead back to the tower.

I kind of covered Slenderman being an established thing in the Slender review, and also skipped it over because it was the least of this movie's problems. As for the Chole thing, I gave everyone else a joke name and I had a friend who would refer to Chloe from Life is Strange as Chole constantly and I thought it was funny.

@@matthewscorner2990 Ren's actual name is Wren which is pronounced the exact same way which is part of the joke, and out of respect for the character since she's the only one I actually gave a quarter of a fuck about. Macaulay's name is Hallie, Stimpy is Katie, I think Man-Dude was Tom and Sister was Lizzie. The characters were such cardboard that giving them joke names was the only way I could make them even slightly engaging.

I don't hate any of them, with the exception of Spiderman 3, but I don't love any of them. I actually had hope for Venom, but my friend saw it in theaters and said it sucked. Thanks for showing me just how little I should trust Sony. Also, are you gonna review that Rake movie? I laughed when you brought it up, but then I looked it up and saw that it was also made by Sony. So I assume it's actually meant to be the Creepypasta Rake and not something else. I dunno what else I thought it could be, but I didn't think they'd actually make a movie about the Creepypasta Rake. I guess they're REALLY looking forward to their Creepypasta Cinematic Universe.

I've gotta say, I really do not like the direction they've taken the Captain Planet series to.

This movie was visually too dark, like, it was visually hard to see the actual movie. That made the movie just hard to figure out what was going on, plus it was just hard to fucking hear what was going on. I don't know if it was just the movie theater room's speakers or the movie itself, but the movie was hard to follow. I don't know if the movie being hard to follow was because of me just giving half of a shit about the movie part way through or because of the fact that the lines felt like being they're being whispered and the visuals being darkened. Either way, I didn't care about this slenderman movie.

I'm not even kidding, lying or pulling crap out of the ether when I tell you this, that Hollywood is actually going to make a movie about Jeff the Killer. You can go watch Hoodohoodlumsrevenge's video if you still don't believe me but I am telling you the truth. Not a huge fan of Slenderman, never played any of the games but their interesting to watch people play. Some of the fan made Slender movies kinda suck. I saw the trailers and didn't care much, But the 2018 slenderman movie I kinda enjoyed. I liked it anyway, it was slow at first, To me it was interesting. I liked the characters in the movie, I liked they didn't give you Slender Man right away 15 minutes in, I think they should have made this a R rated movie but overall good movie, I don't get the hate. I didn't mind the ending, I hate downbeat endings in horror movies but sometimes I can deal with it if the movie entertained me and well this movie kinda did, I got bored alittle bit later through it but it wasn't bad or unwatchable like alot of people claim. I respect others opinions but I liked this movie. I even liked the Narration at the end.

This is also the same company that made the Playstation.

This movie was beyond disappointing

I saw the rake 2018 and it wasn't bad. The effects were actually really good and surprisingly the best part of the film. Its an average film but it has amazing effects for a low budget.

All of these Slenderman movies feel kind of pointless me. We all know that the characters will never escape Slenderman, he’ll just capture and kill them all anyways, and nothing will be explained about Slendy. If someone tries giving a backstory to it, explaining why it kidnaps and kills people, and/or revealing the reason for all of its actions, fans will just get pissed. I haven’t seen Marble Hornets or TribeTwelve, so I don’t know how they got Slenderman right. It’s just to me, either these people just can’t get Slenderman right, or the amount they can explain about him or reveal is incredibly limited. It just seems that people hate it if they give Slenderman a proper backstory or explaination cause they claim that it “ruins the mystery” or some kind of bullshit.

I have watched this movie and I was not scared. When I watched this review I looked away and an add came up with a loud noise and it made me jump. A FUCKING KZread ADD SCARED ME MORE THAN THIS MOVIE! Fuck sony

This movie could've been better if it was ratef R or NC-17 like a character like Slenderman should be. Also, I am convinced SONY changed leadership sometime around 2007 since that's when they fucked up the Sam Raimi Spidermanverse (even though I find SM3 to be average and not terrible) and the Stuart Little franchise (dont watch the 3rd one, its nothing like the first 2). The only modern SONY movies I liked were Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 1, Baby Driver, the Goosebumps movies, Hotel Transylvania 1, and Venom. Side note: Can you please do a rant on Pixar Theory and other theory pastas? I feel like they're just as bad if not worse and morr uncreative than lost episodes of popular cartoons pastas and haunted game pastas. Thank you
