Drumeo indroduced Sleep Token to me and I cannot be thankful enough. I have listened to hundreds of hours since and I can't get enough. Next time, please do "II hears xx for the first time"!

@Rocki1978 I've seen them live 3 times now and every show just gets better and better. All of them as a unit are just top tier.

I saw Sleep Token live for the first time at Radio City Music Hall a few weeks ago and they were VERY impressive. I mostly went because I really enjoy II's drumming but, each member is clear master of many genres of music they keep evolving every year. The backing vocals trio (Espera) were incredible. Vessel was spot on with vocals (maybe a tad bit fatigued at the end of the show, but not badly). Entire experience was very positive and exceeded my expectations.

That was my first time at RCMH - what a perfect atmosphere. It’s amazing he can still belt out some of those notes even with all of his cryptid dancing during the set 😂

100%. I blew Sleep Token off after being introduced by Nik Nocturnal reviewing The Summoning until Will dropped the Chokehold cover. I loved his version and decided to give them a chance. They were my number one listened band by far last year. An probably still are this year too.

Ahhh Higher, this song takes me back to when I discovered them while listening to KZread's random suggestions and they had just released The Sundowning. Glad to see how far they've come

Before I really listened to Sleep Token, I saw that ii was metal drummer of the year. I was like, what? I haven't even heard these guys do anything that blew me away. Well, I did a deep dive and let me tell you, I'm a fan! You don't need to have a lot of double bass or thrash beats to be metal. I'm glad I took the time to listen to their music, cause it's something else!

the pure mastery that this man presents with his instrument... resisted giving Sleep Token a go for so long, but seeing him behind the drums just broke me down in a good way. Thoroughly enjoying their discography now.

i grew up with my dad drumming all my life, my brother doing the same and i am still always amazed when i watch drummer focused videos because it never gets enough hype. Watching II have so many things going on at once is so cool to watch. much love

So glad to see this incredible song getting more love. II's range really shines in this.

Definitely what I like about II…he’s all fills and technicality. Not the fastest or most powerful, but clean and precise and creative. Their music isn’t for everyone, took me awhile to warm up to it; it’s like Metal meets R&B meets electronic. I’ve heard people refer to it as “Fuck Metal”…probably the most accurate description, lol.

II is an absolute drumming legend! What a truly incredible, creative drummer!! His style is so clean and elegant.

By far one of the best drummers on the planet today, the precision, the tasteful accompaniment, the articulation, amazing.

​@BOOGiNS To say that this guy is average indicates to me that you haven't had much recording experience (especially with click and backing tracks) where your playing is under microscopic examination for precision and cleaness. Music isnt a competition, celebrating other people's skills and achievements doesnt diminish your own, and this fella is very, very good.

raw talent from an ethereal band, II is undeniably the best and ill die on that hill.

They are just as amazing live. I will definitely see them again if they come back. Literally the best show I've been too

I think the reason II is such an incredible drummer is not only because of the precision of his playing, but because he straddles the line of structured and unstructured within the same phrase. His parts are like a living organism where it's alive and ever changing. Out of any newer drummers out there, watching him play gives me goosebumps every single time. Hopefully next time Sleep Token comes around my area, I can make it to a live show.

II at his best in this version of one of their best tunes! Amazing

I am losing my mind over this. The joy of hearing this is insane, one of my favourite songs Sleep Token’s ever released. Love II’s drumming so much, this man is crazy good at what he does.

To me II is currently the best drummer that we have on our beautiful planet. Eloy and El Estepario are up there too, but only II has this unmatched dancing elegance and groove out of the three.
