JoelMetal I think they have nothing in common except they both have made metal (not the same genre) and they can slap. They're not on the same level of fame, they don't have the same musical universe, backcground, they really have very little in common. Plus one makes videos for fun and gets a couple of bucks from it and the other lives thanks to it. They wouldn't have the same interests and... i'm really not sure about how it would sound.

As someone who plays both guitar and bass: damn guitarists literally stealing bassists' thunder! It's not enough that guitar is the center of attention with crushing distortion and face melting solos. Unfortunately, all the coolest bass techniques become 10x cooler on a guitar (lookin at you Tosin)

This was humorous, hellaciously impressive, and thought provoking, all at once. Perhaps because I just watched "20 Feet From Stardom" yesterday (the documentary about back up singers) I couldn't help comparing what you were saying about how everyone just edits things with what the film said about how recording companies now always build in a budget for "tuning" the singers after recording (through digital manipulation/autotune techniques), because they don't have the time or budget (and obviously implied, the talent) to just sing in tune in the first place. Great video.

This embodies these two guitarists. Jared is a good player and is impressive for the effort he puts into content, like that must have taken forever to edit. Then Rob is just incredible because of what he plays
