I went ballistic on the Ricketts on Kaplan's radio show the day after he did that interview with Sammy a couple of years ago. They're hypocrites, they've employed Manny Ramirez as a coach, they traded for a domestic abuser in Chapman and allowed Addison to come back after terrorizing his wife, but they don't have Sammy back? It's preposterous.

I’m sick of all these people calling him a cheater and blah blah blah but he’s never tested positive and they forgive every singe player but why not Sammy? Sammy and mark SAVED baseball. Baseball was a dying sport but the home run chase brought so many fans and eyes to the sport

@@bartlettdan7128 I knew Sammy. Used to work out with him in fact. All I can speak to is the two years I knew him in his early career. He was a quiet guy, kept mostly to himself. He had a cannon of an arm and was dedicated to fitness. He was ripped before he allegedly took PEDs. I'm not saying what you wrote isn't or is true, I'm just talking about the guy I knew and I found him to be a pretty nice guy.

These camera guys were only cared about the ball, one of the best home run celebrations is Sammy Sosa’s jump off the plate once he knows its gone.

Woshipped Sosa growing up, thought he was the best hitter and a charismatic guy. But nobody’s jaw/head and shoulders swell up the way his did without steroids, it just doesn’t happen.

As Steve Stone said, Sammy still had to hit the baseball. There have been many strong guys in MLB and they hit a few major bombs, but they couldn't do it consistently. Sammy also stole a lot of bases and hit for a good average in some years. Hitters cheated and pitchers cheated and as one person pointed out, there are guys from other eras who some claimed were cheaters in the HOF.

@@Schwedeballz That's not true. Bonds and Clemens were legends prior to cheating, and Sammy and McGuire were all stars prior to cheating. They were obviously good enough to play at a high level without roids.
