its 2020 now!!! i both Skyrim few days ago, and im having this Problem for a day already doin NMM.. NONE OF THEM EXPLAIN the " OTHER SkYRIMPREFS FILE IN GAME" your the only one who put it on the video, way back 2013 i played Skyrim and i dont have this problem until i played it again and found out several new version of skyrim.. thanks for this video even its already 8yrs ago hahahaha

Whenever I go into skyrim I see my mods in the data folder but when I load the game the mods don't appear/work I have the enhanced graphics mod high king mod and so on

Thanks man. I installed Realvision and it wasn't running very smooth so i uninstalled it, but it greyed out the data folders and I couldn't continue on my modded save, but this fixed the problem!

I downloaded my virsion from a disc and only have 1 folder for skyrim but it dose not have data in the folder but it has the 3 mods it came with it how do I download mods?

Someone please help me: i got a downloaded version of the legendary edition. The data files are greyed out. I followed the step above and made sure I'm not working in a read only version. The DLC files are in the correct location. Still i cannot click on data files. And because of that I cannot play the DLC :( :(

Thank you so much! The "My Games" folder worked for me. If I tried doing it in Program Files it would say "access denied" when I edit the ini folder but it didn't when I did it through Documents! Thanks a ton man!

i downloaded the dawnguard dlc and it had two files (dawnguard.bsa and dawnguard.esm) then i copied them to the data folder,but when i open data files in skyrim launcher dawnguard doesn't show up.any suggestions??????

I have the torrented version, so i went to the one in program files (x86) and in the skyrim folder there is the prefs, i added the code [Launcher] then put the code bEnableFileSelection=1 and saved it, all perfectly, but it is still grayed out, no idea why. I also tried to find the other skyrimprefs but didnt even find the my games folder, im using the torrent version, plz help

Well, I did everything you did though. But it didn't work for me. My issue is as follows: I had gotten Skyrim off The pirate bay (Razor 1911) and I downloaded all three DLC'S too. Skyrim works and I am able to get into the data files in the launcher, but only the Dawnguard, Dragonborn and Hearthfire files are there. So I can't enable the mods there also I'm having Nexus Mod manager, there I've enables all mods but still when in game, there are no mods. Please help me. Thanks
