On that note, Sky Island made a theme park based around the rubber bands he traded with them, so it seems they figured out making more based on the couple they got. I’m not kidding.

Enel’s gonna be really surprised when he finds a whole army of mechanical elves waiting to do his bidding on the moon.

@@abysswicked9076 I like to think that while he is lazing around- that is when he isn't designing and building a working spaceship or oppressing the population of a small country- he is using his powers to watch people like a sitcom. Beyond his self centered and insane moon plan (insane because he didn't seem to have any plan for what to do once on the moon, and he wanted to blow up Skypeia for no good reason when he left.) I feel like that is the point of a bunch of the antics he has his minions do and why he allows things. He was fine with his priests, wiper's army, and the straw hats fighting in upper yard, because it was the most entertaining thing he has watched ever.

I hate to be that guy but yeah it’s the later. Oda even confirmed this himself in one of the first SBS question corners of the series where a fan asked why Luffy’s clothes can expand and stretch with him, he said that if he drew it realistically, there would be WAY too much unnecessary nudity. Luffy’s stretching, Buggy’s chopped up parts, every single logia ability, most (if not all) zoan abilities, just to name a few cases

This is before Enis Lobby she still hasn't internalized them as real friends as opposed to people she will need to abandon yet. Its part of the tragedy of the water 7 arc, she pulls the sort of betrayal and abandonment that she has been doing for years, which various people taunt the straw hats with, but THIS time its because she is trying to protect THEM not herself, and then they go and jump into the fire directly and force her to admit that not only are they friends, but she does care about her own life too, after just being willing to give it up for somone else after a lifetime of betrayals.

It's because Shonen Battle Maniacs, Anime Only Watchers, & Power Scalers have no reading comprehension & don't respect any of the arcs unless it follows battle manga formula, even though One Piece was always an Adventure, Gag & Commentary manga before it was a battle manga. And because Toei's anime adaptation was pretty garbage before Wano. It's the same reason people shit on the Foxy arc, even though it has some of the best gags, has important lore details, foreshadows multiple future events, introduces worldbuilding, and condifies particular crew dynamics amongst the Strawhats.

@@vigo2669 Cough, as a syrup village enjoyer, I'll say it's better than most of the davy back fight, some of thriller bark's saggy middle parts, and none of skypeia. In conclusion, I'd say the davy back fight is the second worst arc with syrup village ranking third(buggy's arc is the worst imo), but all of this 'worst' is by one piece standards and they're all enjoyable and well done still. What I don't understand is those who say you should skip some arcs.

it's one of those times that I go back to every now and again to remind myself that even though luffy is dumb as bricks outside of combat. in combat he is a genius.

I know Enel mad as hell. Just some GUY crosses your boarder, is immune to the one thing you can do, and absolutely beats your ass in ways you thought impossible since you cursed at your momma that one time.

Goofy would have being one of the best during the abridged era.

Enel might not be Santa, but he sure did have a boat!

Eneru's face when he realizes exactly how boned he is. Still my favorite moment up to this point. One of my favorites in the manga, but somehow Dressrosa is the only more disappointing arc to me in the anime. Something about the pacing just doesn't work

Fun fact: Luffy’s boat did come, but a storm broke it and stranded him in a barrel, where he ate mushrooms and (probably) foot fungus.

Y'know, if Usopp wrapped a bunch of rubber bands around one of his lead pellets he probably could have gotten one good snipe off on Enel. Enel would see the attack coming and choose not to dodge because he's made of lightning and doesn't know rubber will negate his immunity. But yeah just based on that circumstance it's entirely possible that Usopp at the time of Skypiea arc could have actually *killed* Enel by wrapping a pellet in rubber bands and sending it through his eye socket.
