Enel shouldn't have gotten them involved in the first place. If he just said 'Hey, let them pass', there's a chance he'd have been able to get Deathpia finished up without issue. but he had to try and wipe out the crew and make Conis take part in it. Honestly, a lot of One Piece is 'evil people manage to anger the Straw Hats and get their dreams ruined for it'.

I'm sitting here thinking about how Enel was just chilling on his throne this whole time, watching all of this stuff happen, and just kinda halfheartedly egging it all on for his amusement. It might actually be one of the few times where it's someone else actively trying to provoke Cap'n Crackhead. Speaking of provoking Crackhead, one of these episodes just from Bellamy's perspective would probably be great.

I grimace at the idea of anyone skipping Skypeia on their initial watch through. I remember really enjoying it.

it's bizarre to me that people say its ok to skip bc it isn't important to the rest of the story, like there's so much that happens in that arc skypeias influence on robins overall character arc later in water7/enies can't be understated. as well as our first meeting with Blackbeard and co (if you count jaya), the poneglyph signed by Roger, the first inklings of the lore of the void century, the foreshadowing of the merry, and so much more. skipping it's like eating a burger with no sauce lmao

The fact that Enel's Endless Vearth was actually the moon and then he ACTUALLY FLEW THERE was one of the biggest plot twists of my childhood. I was ready for him to get folded by strong pirates when he got down to the Blue Sea but he just kept going up.

Enel is THE ONLY Character shown so far to attain their “True Dream” in Series Oda~sensei also explained during an SBS, when asked why Luffy doesn’t finish off/kill the Main Antagonist per Arc; and Oda stated that Luffy “crushes their dreams” and believes that’s a Fate worse than Death What did Enel do after getting “defeated” by Luffy??? He still immediately after that, flew up to The Moon/Fairy Vearth and his 40 Page “Enel’s Space Adventures To The Moon” Manga Canon Cover Series shows he Conquered The Moon in more ways than one 🌖

My favorite thing about Enel is that he was the only One Piece villain to get defeated by Luffy and STILL achieve their dream. In the cover stories, Enel find his "verth" to rule by going to the Moon, then he meets lunar robots and a gang of space pirates. By the end, Enel conquered the Moon and rules it now.

Enel probably could have just obliterated Upper Yard the way he did Angel Island after he recovered from being beaten by Luffy, but he decided to just leave the island alone and head to the moon because he had a feeling that if he did, there was a chance Luffy would survive, and would actually kill him.

Yo we can’t miss Zoro’s iconic Tarzan roar in Skypes arc. And Enel vs Luffy’s fight was incredibly funny.

Giving that the Noland flashback takes place right in the middle of the One Piece timeline, it wouldn't be surprising if, when the Void Century flashback comes into place, we realize that the Noland flashback was a direct sequel to the Void Century all along

Wano Arc is going to be a blast: "You are Kaido, an emperor of the sea, and everyone thinks you're this big time warlord trying to take over the world, but really, you're just the crackhead of the previous generation. And it's getting dull here, I mean, you beat up everybody, you handed out all the asswhoopings you can, and there's noone left to give you a good fight. I mean sure, there's your ex-wife, but she's more buisy building her creepy wonderland thingy than fighting, so she doesn't count. And then, out of nowhere, this crackhead shows up and just start pissing you off. I mean just doing everything he can to get your attention..."

Nowadays (thankfully) Skypiea has gotten the recognition it deserves. But yeah, up until a few of years ago people used to skip it because they thought it was "disconnected" from the main story. I love how it turned out to be one of the most important pre-timeskip arcs lol

Sometimes these feel like an abridged series, it's incredible, and there's so many running jokes too it's just always funny

For the longest time I assumed the skipping skypeia thing was a meme, it blew my mind to find out that a decent number of people actually did it. If for some reason someone seeing this comment skipped it or is struggling to finish it, I really do recommend reading it at least? I definitely understand the anime experience can feel like a slog, it’s probably the worst pretimeskip arc in terms of filler, but the manga experience is great and skypeia is one of the best and in hindsight one of the most important arcs in the entire story

In the early 2000's One Piece was on Toonami in America and it didn't go all the way through the arc, it stopped after the fat angel fight. This frustrated a lot of people who once they found ways to actually see the show again they just went on to the next arc. Then skipping it went word of mouth and it became a meme.

Skypea is one of the more important arcs for the late game of One Piece, a lot of things are set up there that arent payed off until around Wano. And it is also the first arc where Robin is a part of the crew before Water 7 where she has her moment, if you skip this arc, its like you watch Usopps story, but you only watch his introduction episodes, little garden, and then end at Water 7. Despite missing the larger parts of the one piece story, Usopps story is more then joining the crew, then finding some giants, then having a fight with the captain. And just as in this theoretical straw pirate i have set up to punch down, if you only watch Alabaster, then head straight to Water 7, you miss all the time Robin just chills with the crew, get to know them, and get to see first hand how Luffy is. If Skypea never happened, Robbin would not only not care if the crew got blasted to the next centaury, but she would also not accept their help when they would come for her.

Skypiea was actually the arc where I originally fell off with one piece as a kid and it was mugi goofs videos that got me to pick one piece back up and take the challenge to get caught up on one piece in but 2 months time. That was back when wano was just wrapping up in the manga and here we are all this time later and his content is still amazing!

Skypiea is mai most favorite Arc still TO THIS DAY!!! Skypiea Foreshadows: (*Spoilers Below): -Observation Haki -Advanced Observation Haki -Advanced Armament Haki (Satori vs. Luffy/Sanji/Usopp) -The Voice of All Things (Aisa’s Advanced Observation Haki Ability) -Stacking Devil Fruit Abilities with Haki (Enel’s 20,000km Sonar of his Rumble~Rumble Fruit and Advanced Observation Haki stacked together) -The Poneglyphs’ greater connection to The World of One Piece -That Roger and Oden DID go to Skypiea -The Arc Maxim & Deathpiea Attack being analogous to how Uranus/The Mother Flame most likely works -Enel’s SUPER IMPORTANT Moon Cover Story -How Vegapunk’s Homeland is linked to the Moon -That the Original Birkans/Shandorians/Skypieans came down from The Moon after running out of resources -Ancient Weapons Hieroglyphs in the Moon -I also love how the Skypieans came from the Moon to the Sky, and the Shandorans were water spout blasted from the Earth to the Sky for both races from completely different environments living in a “let’s meet in the middle” area of the One Piece-verse. -Also the Shandorans revered the Sun God sooo much that they made living sacrifices to the Sun God, Rain God, Earth God, and Forest God Alter for centuries. If you know you know. -I think the reason I love Skypiea sooo much is just how much foreshadowing & mysteries are packed into that Arc. -Also Noland’s Statue makes an appearance in Dressrosa’s Green Bit Tontatta Fairy Land, as a grand deliverer who helped protect their jungle and show them how to grow their jungle and home underground better as he was a world class botanist and saved their people from a plant based disease just like back at Shandora. -It just goes to show that Skypiea STILL CONTINUES to be ever-present in future One Piece arcs and I’m super excited to see how The Ancient Golden City of Shandora plays a role in the Ancient Kingdom Arc that we will surely get sometime before the end of the Series ala Turn Back The Pendulum Arc from Bleach.

Mugiwara No Goofy, I am so happy you are making more “One piece is halarious” content! I always am happy to see the way you see the story in and to get a good look at others perspectives. In fact, I usually play the playlist WHILEST I SLEEP so I can sleep better. Just letting you know great work out there and im glad your getting more recognition. I’m not sure how this idea would go because I have not seen a lot of wano arc, but it would be cool to make a “One piece is halarious” video with the arc of Wano, maybe by Kaido perspective. But yeah I love this series and I hope to see other videos in the future :)

I love your channel so much. I binge-read One Piece recently for the first time and finding this channel makes me appreciate how amazing Oda is as a writer. Just basing a comedy channel around his work allows a talented individual such as Mugi to create great videos that very few things can make me not watch immediately after seeing a new one. I watched this hours ago and came back just to write this (and probably watch it again). I'm watching OP for the first time, and I'm a few episodes deep into Skypiea. Coming off of Alabasta, it _definitely_ does feel kinda like a random side quest Luffy dragged his friends on, but it's still pretty good so far.
