Skyline QUIRINO Climb

Спорт

Ilocos Sur offers fantastic climbing in the uplands of the cordillera mountain range. With the infrastructure and roads finished, this opened up opportunities to enjoy the new tourist spots for two wheeled adventurers. 24 hours after our participation from the Tagudin Triathlon, we decided to take a day off and discover the mythical climb of the Quirino Skyline. It did not disappoint.

Hi Joe. How are you. Thank you for finding out channel. Tom is a good inspiration that even the most “unlikely” candidate can outdo the stereotyping by simply opening yourself to new alternative solutions. It won’t cost as much. For a seasoned rider like you, it’s impressive to get a positive comment.

Hats off to you Tom . You've lost tons of weight and show massive resolve and technique on these climbs where there is no hiding place. I can empathize as an ex 235 lbs rugby player who is down to 200 lbs. The climbing is still hard. Thanks Coach Cruz for passing on your knowledge and encouragement.

I live in a hilly area and used to climb "Contador style" standing on the pedals, I've got to get me a new bike and try out your system, it's very intriguing to me and seems to work well for sure, I think my previous bike fit wasn't conductive to it as I was too stretched.

Each rider have their own riding position or style Pantani, Alberto Contador, Froome they have unique riding position that works for them, Kung comfortable ka sa ganyan riding style or position if it works for you then it works. No need to copy them kanya kanyang preference kasi iyan and some riders are more flexible than others. Pinaka importante is comfortable ka sa riding position mo.

Not mine. A few days back , Tom had to change handlebars to accommodate the aerobar. Unfortunately he also had to have his hydraulic cables rerouted that required his Bottom Bracket to be opened and reinstalled. Unfortunately without the new loctite to keep the shell from moving with the torque required for these insane steepness

Brutal- mental. There’s an advantage for the unfamiliarity, you don’t really know what to expect so you take it meter by meter. Only after the ride do you really appreciate the severity of the route. Specially going home seeing the garmin hit 80 kph without Pedalling , it starts to sink in how would you even climb this without the luxury of your vehicle.

Hi James. How are you. First off thanks for watching. At the moment, KZread distributes our content in the US, Middle East, Arabian countries, Asia, Europe and Canada. Most of these audience prefer English. KZread flags your video if the language is limited to a very distinct region. It’s really a matter of Target audience preference, since this channel was developed as a platform for free visual learning. In the Philippines, we have a huge following in the Visayas, Cebu and Mindanao. It may not be apparent but tagalog is not their main language preference. Tagalog is popular in Luzon, our brothers from these cities are not really keen on Tagalog as an instructional language. I hope this does not put you off in watching our content. Thank you again for asking kindly.
