In my opinion, Skylanders Trap Team was the best Skylanders game.

I'd have to disagree, I've always seen Trap Team as this franchise's downfall. Activision basically doubled down on the microtransaction mentality and made it near impossible to utilize the game's core function to it's fullest without dishing out your entire paycheck. Hell I'd argue Swap Force was the warning sign. Spyro's Adventure and Giants were the best this series had to offer by far, everything else was a slow point downwards

@Casual Player Well it's probably the best game and gives you the most bang for your buck imo. It made it so your previously collected Skylanders still could serve a purpose. Buying the giants was optional as there weren't any special elemental gates specifically designed for the Giants. In Swap Force & Trap Team however, Elemental Gates could only be unlocked by the special wave of skylanders that came out with that game. Giants didn't pressure you into going out and buying more to enjoy the experience like Swap Force and Especially Trap Team did.

This is definitely my favourite out of the games, I always love replaying this game over and over and I always get a little disheartened when it’s over. But I can rest knowing I can replay it over and over.

Would've been even funnier if there was like 20 buttons and he just so happened to press the only one that makes it vibrate then just says "wait hold on wrong button. But you get the idea!"

Honestly. I see a lot of missed opportunities for the final boss. They could've made a forth wall breaking masterpiece with Kaos swapping the controls around or actually removing the ability to use certain skylanders that you've used too much.

The fourth wall can’t be broken if the fourth wall existing would interrupt the fact that the player is directly sending the sky landers back to the skylands and is referred to as a “Portal Master.”

I don’t blame Kaos for doing that unexpected truce with our heroes. I mean, if I was him trying to cooperate with other bad guys that got rescued I would’ve done the same thing as a desperate measure. Any of his betrayals are just future problems for us to tackle.

I think the best villains in the skylanders franchise are the Doom Raiders and the Arkeyans. The Doom Raiders are just brimming with personality and they just stand out really well and the Arkeyans are just so intimidating and utterly gigantic in scale and threat

The best part is at the end, the Doom Raiders were wrong about Kaos at the end. They used him and didn’t take him seriously. But after they were defeated Kaos used the work done by the Doom Raiders to become far more powerful then any of the Doom Raiders. And we can play as Kaos and take over all of Skylands! C’mon, anyone with the Kaos Trap and Kaos in it has done it.

Even if their plan would succeed, they would’ve had to eventually realize their folly. Gold as an entire planet is worth NOTHING but becoming useless.

I love Tara Platt's work so much, I genuinely cried when I realized she voiced Dreamcatcher and Punk Shock recently. To think I was obsessed with a game and character she worked in before I got to know her as a person! 🤩 Also, her husband voices Fright Rider, Trail Blazer and Softpaw.

Every group of friends be like:

I always found it weird that the Skylanders are never referred to by name. They have to record thousands of lines to make that happen, or just make it sound like a text to speech program, but in universe they just don’t care about the skylanders as individuals. They’re just like “hey thanks for stopping gulper skylander” and the skylander is like “Gusto did that, I’m Jet Vac, big difference” and the other guy just says “yeah yeah cool anyways”

Well... There is one time that happened. In Giants' Oracle level, at the start, the Oracle refers to the Skylander by their actual name. But that's the only time.

And even then for Superchargers when specific skylanders talk to Buzz for training he says their name and they even talk back But playing devils advocate Superchargers only had 20 characters while the other skylanders games had around 40-50 so it would take longer to set up voice actors for over that many characters

Whenever Kaos talked through the portal during the final level, I always pause the game, go to audio, mute the portal and then watch him mouth off.

Traptanium is basically like a mirror, it can reflect stuff and not take them...

I love how all of them (excluding chompy mage) have really clever names but then just G O L D E N Q U E E N
