@Jake Connor SSA was actually developed for the Wii and was ported to other consoles.

@Jake Connor The Wii version is actually a lot more polished and has way less bugs and glitches compared to the ports. I've played through pretty much every version multiple times and the Wii version is the best in my opinion. This did change after SSA though.

You’re the first person I’ve seen who had the same relationship with Skylanders that I did. Spyro’s Adventure is still my favourite of the series: to me it has a nostalgic magic that the sequels, while great, can’t recapture. The only two Skylanders from the first game I don’t have are Ignitor and Camo. Thank you for making this video.

spyro's adventure was so good, it was even inmersive, swiming with gill grunt in leviathan lagoon or exploring the pirates seas with terrafin... the good old days

I love the story of how you got into the game, reminds me of my own story except I was only 7 back then. Very good quality video man, fantastic work.

Finally a youtuber doing justice for Skylanders

Finally, someone else that noticed how unpolished the non Wii versions were, there is so much weird stuff going on there, have you seen the sidekicks? their entire models are deformed for some reason lol, i had the PC version and it was a disaster to say the least, the only nice thing about it was that it's the only version that runs at 60fps.

God I remember opening this for Christmas and getting so excited playing this on my Wii. Even nowadays it holds up as a fantastic game and I recently rediscovered my Wii and reset the data on some of my sky landers to experience this masterpiece once again.

With all these Skylanders videos you've been posting, you've really wanted to make me go and play them again! They are so good and it's been quite a couple years!

Got it for my tenth birthday and It’s probably my favorite gift I’ve ever gotten. The story was never all that interesting but the characters you played as were incredibly cool to me

What caught my eye in Skylanders is the elements it gave me a avatar The Last Airbender vibe

I remember seeing Skylanders Spyro's Adventures commercials when I was 3/4 I felt drawn to Eruptor. The 1st game I played was Trap Team then after I played that I wanted to play the 1st game. I Love all of the games Spyro's Adventures is my favorite and my favorite character is Eruptor.

It makes me so deppressed watching. I was that kid who had the first game but wasnt alowed to play the rest. I had such fond memories of playing on the wii.

I wqs blown away with the first game. It was so fun. Such a shame they took the oiss with the later games. And over did the reposes but it was beautiful fun and great fun.

This game series was and still is the best. I love it. This video made me very happy :)

1:02 seeing this video and the prices of the figures already has me salivating, I remember the toy prices went up to ridiculous prices by Swap Force/Trap Team

I remember trading in countless games at GameStop just to have enough money to buy the starter pack and a few additional figures back when the series launched. Looking back now, it might not have been such a good idea. But hey, I was 14 at the time. Still have a lot to learn even until this day though.

I remember when I was 6. My aunt bought me an eruptor series 2 before I even had either of the games lol...

Very in depth review!! I’ve loved Skylanders ever since I got it for my birthday as a little kid myself and I always come back to the series in part thanks to its amazing soundtrack and character designs. I’d like to point out though that there are elemental zones that don’t fit the level so you have more of a reason to play multiple different skylanders in one level instead of just the same skylander

Wow, why does this sound like my first experience with the introduction into the game, ten years since me and my brother played this in the basement on the ground so we could change skylanders easier, oh the memories good times, simpler times

I remember my younger years when me and my mom would go to walmart and cross off Skylanders to get. I wish my copy of SSA worked, but I can get a used copy from my local used game store. So nostalgic.

I remember my parents who both bought the game for me hahaha. I was such a fan, sadly i never played the whole game becouse of scratches on the game. But i bought a new one last summer but becouse of school i don't realy have the time anymore. I loved the whole series so much becouse of the unique story. I also loved to read the background stories of the characters, that way you get to know how and why they became Skylanders.

I'm disappointed that you didn't include a section for Skylanders Spyro's Universe (or just Skylanders Universe), the online web game that came out alongside Spyro's Adventure and lasted up until after Giants' release (though the name lived on via the books). You could scan your figures in via the Portal of Power or just input the web code included with the figure and unlock them in the game to use. It offered even more post-game content, most notably in raising your "Hero Level" which could only be done in Skylanders Universe. The level went up to 100!

Great video, do you plan on doing a retrospective video for each game in the series? That would be awesome!

My childhood

I just had this idea but what would be extremely cool would be make skylanders into a hyrule warriors type of game The skill trees could be stream lined and omg seeing them in the SSA and giants art style HD with all the crazy moves would be fantastic Or ya know a 10th anniversary remaster I would be first in line for that Both of these ideas would be so cool

I also didnt even pay atention to the game functionality I just saw how cute Wrecking Ball was and I was just going to buy Wreaking ball but the person who took me shopping for my birthday pointed out it has funtionality with the game that day I got the Starter pack for SSA plus Wreaking Ball and have gotten many more skylanders since

The Wii version of the final boss is significantly harder than the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions

I thought the story scroll was referencing the Giants since they said they haven’t been seen for centuries and because he literally says “....these giants....”

I've always been confused why they ditched the wireless portal. Seemingly not even ever version of SSA had wireless

No I has a wireless portal for my wii it took batteries though either that or it was for my ds

I was so hyped boxing day to buy Nd ply this on my new xbox I did actually buy erupotor before I got the game I got the triple pack of bash eruptor and chop chop was so cool I also loved the online game on the website

I really enjoyed this video. Too bad the 3DS version isn't featured in this video. I still remember when my brother and I used to play Spyro's Adventure on Wii. Ah, those were such good times. Though I had more fun with Swap Force as it's my favorite Skylanders game. Yeah, we have the Wii version but I didn't mind the down-graded graphics and cut down gameplay. Nowadays only Skylanders game I have is Swap Force on 3DS. But it would awesome if Spyro's Adventure and Swap Force got re-released on Steam. If not when I should just buy PS3 and Swap Force for it.

There no way it’s 10 yrs old never played spyro adventure started at giants but had so many figures like dark spyro. Man time going to fast

you said the final boss was hard but it really isnt maybe if you only have the skylanders that come with the game but really everyone had spare skylanders i did it at 7 years old with my friend in 1 try with no efford at all just use like 20 skylanders

It’s challenging in the fact that a lot of them will die, you can’t have a challenge that the player can truly fail in skylanders since the player can literally have infinite lives

Your the person who made the skylander boy and girl game right? Well i’m here because of them I remember I never had console to play the games until skylanders super chargers but I always would buy the skylander toys.

The only things that really hold this game back is first of all the atrocious pay to win aspect, and that the characters are pretty one dimensional. They are charming, but as deep as my cereal bowl.
