Camera was apprx. 6' away. My dB meter battery was low, so I don't think the display was bright enough. Had to go buy new battery. 😠 Iron Man dropped the ball on this one. 😆

at 80 percent the h10 seemed to wake up like the undertaker. Loud and exciting compared to the barrel.

Good reviews on both! I have the barrel Xt my only downfall with it is. I have only had it since last Nov. And now it won't fully charge and I am lucky if it will hold a charge past 2 hours. I reached out to Skullcandy customer service they tell me they will email me a UPS return label. But I tried to explain to them I don't have no UPS around for like over a 1 and 20 mins away. And they won't send ya a USPS return label. Plus they want the customer to pay to have it shipped back. But that W-King does sound really good.

Sorry to read of your issues. 😟

I bought 2 of the Barrels. I had arrived already. I used LG eq to boost 10db at 35hz. If I corner load the unit, it sounds like there is a true subwoofer in the room there is audible output to about 28hz. Impressive for a single 6.5" woofer.

i think the 6.5" is the subwoofer and it is flanked by two 2.25" woofers

At max volume. Only 3-4 hours. Lower mid volume around 8-10 hours.

The W-king sounds very boomy which I don’t like The barrel sounds nice rumbling bass not bad for a 6.5” woofer

The King has a lot of midrange and that's what is making it sound so loud! But listening to this on my ion primetime, it sounds to me like the Skullcandy has less distortion in my opinion. I think if you had a way of turning that horrific midrange down you would be surprised at how much quieter the King would be. I've never been particularly impressed with any of the kings, but they are loud! It would probably be great at a "wild party" LOL. I NOTICED IN YOUR COMPARISON BETWEEN THE "KING 11" IT WAS EVEN LOUDER THAN THE JBL BOOMBOX3! KING IS BUILT FOR LOUDNESS BUT IN MY OPINION THE GOOD SOUND QUALITY JUST ISN'T THERE. IF ANYONE DISAGREES THAT'S JUST FINE BUT THAT'S THE WAY IT SOUNDS TO ME

It would have bene nice if they had included bass, treble AND mids adjustments from the speaker itself. Maybe something W-King could consider for the newer version of they ever release one. I will say the H10 makes a better outdoors speaker than indoor speaker. 😉

@@JaysStraightUpReviews but in fairness to both speakers they are both a great deal for the price that they are. Especially when you compare the price to something like the boombox 3 which can be anywhere from $500 to maybe $379 plus tax if you're very very lucky lol which will still put it at just a little over $400 probably around $410 or $412 after tax

@@JaysStraightUpReviews my ion primetime only weighs 8 pounds but amazingly it sounds a lot like it's bigger sibling the pathfinder 320. It might only weighs 8 pounds and it's only $99 plus tax at Walmart but it's not a pushover by any means. I tested it up against the Skullcandy barrel and it was in my opinion arguably louder and more bass. But only slightly. They are both good sounding "budget" speakers
