SKINS - Top 5 Musical Moments

It's been 14 years since Skins first broadcast on the airwaves of E4, and for people my age looking back at Skins is nostalgia(²)!
But upon my lockdown rewatch of the show one of the things that gripped me most was the music. It managed to serve as both a barometer of taste, an archive for the popular music of a particular moment as well as a way to further canonise some of the best songs from over the past 50 years… so we counted down our top 5 musical moments of the show.

Bands I got into through skins were: Crystal Castles, You love her cos shes dead, Passion Pit and various alternative/dance and indie music. I also wore orange neon or studded loose hanging belts, skinny black jeans, converse with double laced opposing coloured laces, brightly coloured t-shirts or check-shirts and straightened my hair and carefully styled into that messy look Freddie has. Good times man.
Come on, why is wild world by the whole cast not even getting an honourable mention in this

Was always a big cat stevens fan, and I completely forgot about that to be honest.
Great video! Shame not to see any musical moments from gen 2 or 3 tho!
