I've never seen a dog so emaciated. A walking skeleton. So distressing. She was surely within days, even hours, of dying. Thankfully a decent person took her in and saved her life.

My dog was used as a bait dog and when he found my parents house he was also a walking skeleton and just so beaten up it was one of the most horrific animal fight and abuse cases I've ever seen we had a female German shepherd at the time who we just lost a few months ago and she showed Chance how to be a dog how to have fun Chance is 3 years old now we've had him the past 2 years since he found us when he was a year old and he looks nothing like what he did before which is amazing

It's funny that's the message of the bible, first the suffering then the reward.

That is amazing how she had a dog before named Blue who looked like her, and her name was actually Blue. So amazing how she nurtured her from being a walking skeleton. When I saw how much happy weight she put on, I was so happy! This is really a blessing and a miracle.

The woman here is a wonderful person. God bless you.

This one hit me hard. My dad looked like this when he died. He starved to death due to complications from lung cancer. I’m so glad this beautiful baby found her mama

Our underweight rescue refused to eat. We took him to the vet andd it turned out he had an absessed tooth. He couldn't chew. He's eating well and settled into his forever home.

That's the kind of thoughts that keep me awake at night. The suffering of innocent animals at the hands of evil human beings. I suppose all we can do is focus on the ones we can help. Everyone can do their bit. Something as simple as buying an extra bag of dog food or treats for the animal shelter donation box at the supermarket. Or keeping your eyes peeled for signs of animal abuse in your community, see something then say something!

Yes, but all animals. Think about the ones with equal emotions of dogs raised in filth in a cell in a “farm” and crying and in pain in the slaughterhouse. Their families stolen and nothing in their life to make it worth living. We can help them easily by stop paying for their body parts. Check out James Aspey’s channel, he’s great.

There would be a lot less suffering of animals if less humans suffered. Pouring money into saving animals doesn’t treat the underlying issue, human poverty. For instance billions have been spent on tiger conservation and done nothing. But give the poor villagers who live by tigers a few thousand each to help and they, as a result, conserve the environment and protect the tigers and the numbers increase. There are dozens of empty preserves in India because the villagers there have no financial incentive to protect tigers, which do eat a lot of people, from poaching.

My partner found an emaciated red pit bull on the street near his job in Houston, Texas. She was barely able to stand, clearly in despair. We brought her home and made a bed for her in the garage, where she could rest and eat as we got to know her. We had a trio of Pugs, and we needed to be careful introducing her to them. The veterinarian warned us that she was unlikely to recover, as she had a severe heart-worm infestation. "Lucy" blossomed into the sweetest, gentlest dog. She had her quirks, she did not trust the indoors, so we bought her an igloo dog house. But she pulled her bed out of it to sleep under the stars every night. She was incredibly patient with the Pugs, fearless idiots that they are, because they don't think anything could possibly hurt them. With Lucy, they were absolutely right.

She left and has never returned I know for a fact she's dead she's to old to be outside on her own. But I think she left so I couldn't find her dead inside she thought if I found her I'd go crazy so she ran away but little does she know I'm broken . She lived a good long life 16 years at that. I’m writing with blurred vision because of the tears, It “killed me seeing her in bones, I adore animals! Seeing her get better and tail wagging, made dry my eyes. When you went to work she like a kid who’s parent was leaving for work, literally with the puppy eye look. Just as I was thinking she came to you at the right time, you mentioned your late dog. I’ve had to put my furry friends to sleep and it’s never what you’d want to do. I have their cremains. What was amazing is that you found out her name was Blu like your other Blu. That really warms my heart. Years ago I found a starving cat in my neighborhood. He was skin and bones, just like you found Nova.😥 He had been declawed and left to fend for himself. That didn't go well. I brought him home and he lived out the rest of his years well fed and loved. ❤

Your right we don't deserve dogs. They are the best and I love them very much. Someone gave me a dog and she is with me where ever I go. I had lost my dog due to illness and age. I didn't think I would get another one because it hurt so much losing my fur baby but a friend called me and told me she had a dog and couldn't take care of her since she had 5 . She asked if I would like to take a look and so I said I'll look but I won't say yes ,I'll just look. Well when she brought her to see me I fell in love and have had her for almost three years. So glad I decided to look at her. She has almost the same markings and personality as my little dog who passed. Dogs are the best and can heal you with a wiggling tail and sweet face.

What an incredible transformation! To see that sweet, skinny skeleton become that happy, beautiful dog is something that words can’t do justice for; that woman really is something for taking her in and giving her a loving home.

Agreed. What get's me is that it is obvious that that dog is on death row without help and yet obviously all the people that walked by her did nothing. This kind of thing makes me think that most people are harsch with cold hearts. I feel depressed about this. It is hard for me to be happy in a world that is so cold. I guess that is why I watch a lot of rescue videos so I can see that there are still people with a warm heart left.

Yeah. Every pet I ever had too. Even my really old cat’s mother came to the shop to have her kittens, then my dog just ran up to us when we were picking the puppy we wanted from my uncle, and the new kitten we have came up to our doorstep in a snow and rain storm looking for food. She was really thin and now she is happy and healthy and she is about 6-7 months old now she and my really old cat get along well and it worked out nice because my old cat was finding it hard to clean herself and then the little kitten came along and started doing it for her and also my old cat was getting so lazy that he claws got too long and now that the kitten is here she plays more and she wore down her claws. The kitten is truly a gift that found us and she and my old cat have the same marking in their forehead. They both have a little flame marking. The kitten’s name is Ember and the old cat’s name is Blaze. Ember and Blaze keep each other happy and Ember probably added 3 years onto Blaze’s life. Blaze will be turning 18 in April.

I'm amazed she survived it wasn't only the food that saved her it was mostly the love she was given they truly needed each other best wishes to both

The owner may have died, or been homeless. Doggo may have got lost through no fault of her own. *You* don’t _know_ she was abandoned. You are presuming.

Have you ever heard of stray dogs? A lot of dogs go on walkabouts and the owners never find them. Don't judge if you don't know the circumstances.

I cannot believe the strength of spirit that kept this dog alive!!!
