I appreciate the list!
(Since you asked us to say if we prefer shorts or long videos) - I definitely prefer the longer formatted videos because I like the detailed medical and scientific explanation provide us. It's nice to truly understand why to use a product and why not to use another product (depending on skin type/climate).

Agreed! Shorts don’t give us as much info, they just entertain. Long form videos are way more informative and useful. Thanks for the awesome content!

Same all my life
I prefer longer than Short format videos.
For those of you asking about “Doctors that deal with hair issues,” a Dermatologist is a highly trained expert in hair, skin and nails. My husband’s a double-degreed M.D. Between his undergrad, 8 years of medical school, his residency, fellowships, etc., he studied for 19 years in university. Don’t listen to television commercials or follow the latest fads; listen to Doctors who are BOARD CERTIFIED in their specialty! Dr. Idriss knows what she’s talking about. My career was in law, but I retired at the age of 36 as I graduated summa cum laude from Harvard at a VERY young age. If you required legal advice, you wouldn’t ask the person who does your nails! Always listen to someone who’s qualified with the proper credentials.
I don’t watch shorts. Watch while ai work out so appreciate the longer videos
1. Stop following skincare trends 2. Stop relying SPF in makeup 3. Stop picking pimples 4. Stop overstripping your skin barrier 5. Stop double dipping ingredients in your skincare routine 6. Stop forgetting your neck and chest 7. Stop falling asleep with makeup on 8. Stop following trends in cosmetic procedures 9. Stop trying to get a bargain for your face 10. Stop putting off seeing a derm

You saved me a lot of time :)
I am 68 years old and, I just started paying serious attention to my skin about 7 years ago. However, when I was 27 I went to a dermatologist who helped me with my breakouts and recommended using Cetaphil to wash and Lubriderm cream for my moisturizer. I used that for the next 40 years. Then I began looking at Vitamin C and retinol for my skin. I am so proud of my skin, and I receive compliments from strangers ALL the time. I love studying about skincare, and I am so thankful to the dermatologist who steered me in the right direction when I was young. It is worth every minute and every penny. I like the longer in depth videos, but I will watch you whatever forum you use. Thanks again for your help and advice. One more thing. I use what is leftover on my face for my hands and lower arms. I have zero age spots on my hands and light ones on my arms. Listen to the Dr. she is so right!

You sound beautiful! I am 67 years old and am taken for much younger!!
My preferred format is long form videos that later get made into shorts
With the niacinamide part, yes there are people who overdo it and get products that it in every single step but also it's hard when a skincare ingredient goes viral and is incorporated into every single toner, essence moisturizer etc.
Many years ago, Oprah had an episode discussing the two methods of aging, sinking or sagging, and I never forgot that. BTW, I am a sagger.😂
Good Morninggg...please do a video on different types of in-office lasers and what they're helpful for
Please don't reduce the number of long-form videos - some of us are not on Instagram or TikTok.🥲
«Bless your heart” … 😂😂😂😂 I might have a British accent (when not speaking Norwegian), but .. I LOL’ed!
I never watch any shorts that anyone post!
I absolutely agree with everything you said but I’ve run into issues with the last (seeing a local deem). I was just at my derm’s office on Friday. She was in the room for MAYBE 5 minutes, and while I was able to ask my questions, I felt very rushed and like I was taking up her time. She was literally walking out the door while I was asking my THIRD and last question. And, her examination was very surface and felt like she just didn’t care. I remember thinking “I can’t believe I’m gonna pay for this and I haven’t learned anything I didn’t already know from Dr. Idriss or other derms I follow on YT for free.” From those I’ve talked to, I think a lot of people have this experience with doctors now, which makes it tough to justify paying the money (not to mention taking the time off of work) to go to those appointments.

Exactly!! Why pay ton of money and waste time to go see a doctor for literally few minutes when you can get free advice from a doctor on KZread from the comfort of your home for free.

Happy New Year from Denmark. Love your content especially the long videos on Saturday❤️
Happy New Year Dr. I’d rise! I love the last one about going to see a derm. I’m tired of trying to figure things out myself with over the counter stuff. I’ve made an appt to see one that I trust this month and I can’t wait!
Stopped stripping the skin barrier a while ago, when switched from clarisonic brush to silicone foreo luna....what a difference!
Would love to see a video on KP management for kids
