Sketchbook tour | An illustrator's sketchbook

Have a peek inside my sketchbook! This one was started in September of 2021 and completed in March of 2022. This was a bit off the cuff, so apologies if it's a bit mumbly.

This is so cool! Especially the scenes with ball point pen, do you sketch those out with pencil first or just full send it with the pen?

  • @kesalt

Haha just full send it with the pen! I'm less precious about making mistakes in my sketchbook, and sometimes the wobbly look is just what I like :)

Thanks so much! I’ve never tried carrying paints with me but I have taken color pencils with me from time to time :) And I know what you mean, I sort of fell out of it for some time too 😂

I love this! Talk about voyeur! It was seeing a side of you that felt personal, although all your work is sooo good! How do you do that! Also, your acrylic work differs from your color pencil. Is that intended? I assume you favor the latter, why I wonder🤔. Thank you for another video!

Thank you so much, Anthony! Hmm, the difference in my acrylic art and color pencil art may just come down to being able to draw with more control in one versus the other... I'm definitely more familiar with pencil!
