The most sympathetic of the Castle Skeksis. Introspective, genuinely curious, even kind, and regretful. But also the most despicable in his horrendous experiments. My favorite.

Even though he is trying to do his job in trying to protect and continue the Skeksis' kind, he does abuse the creatures that are working with them.

I also love that SkekTek genuinely cares for his little Sidetic pet. "Hush now, hush now..." 😭

What I adore about Skeksis technology is a lot of it is organic and made of other creatures. Nothing seems to be made of metal, not even the cogs or chains, if you look very closely.

Netflix sure is protective about a series they no longer care about

SkekTek is the best Skeksi! Mark Hamil brings true cruelty to the Master of Science!

As a nerd, Skektek reminds me alot of all those evil old German scientists in comic books (and other media in fact)! The types who all have these gadgets that will change the course of The War, who all have some officer or general or such who is our main antagonist breathing down their neck about if their latest machine is done or not. The guys who are always taken out by someone like Captain America or some other period action hero. My analysis of Skektek- sort of like a Nazi scientist.

2:44 "Chamberlain is not smart like Scientist." It took me way too long to realize that Chamberlain was insulting the Scientist here. He's not saying he's dumber than the Scientist. He's saying he's smarter than the Scientist because he's a master manipulator and doesn't use science to get his way.

TBH IF I WERE SKEKTEK IN THE SCENARIO WHERE THEY TOOK OFF MY EYE. I WOULD HAVE PULLED A SKEKGRA. BC THERE NO WAY IM LETTING THAT SLIDE. BESIDES NO SKEKTEK= NO IMMORTALITY 💥💥

They definitely added more to Skektek such as why he had a weird eye and the fact he created the Garthim. He was responsible for understanding the crystal and finding ways to prolong SkekSis existence. Despite this, he was still constantly harassed, abused, and taken advantage of by the others. He was Aughra’s friend in his past life as an UrSkeks but had to end it to be in the emperor’s favor. He took out his misery on the Gruenaks and Gelflings so he was still evil.

"Another World! Another Time!" Thus, the treason of skekTek and the loss of his Friendship with Aughra is complete. I just wished they had one more interaction before that when she first came to the castle when seeking the Skeksis help the first time.

It's genuinely sad, this guy catually cared about Thra and he cared about life, he truly wanted to find a better and safer solution and is right 1:00 "Cruel permisious Emperor, preeminent minds are never appreciated at that time", he tries several times to make the Emperor see reason but he'd only receive cruelty and greed. And in the end he slowly became just as cruel and corrupt as his master. If only he had betrayed and left the Palace to fin another way elsewhere.

Please do skekayuk next he’s very underrated in my opinion
