Skar Audio RP-4500.1D AMP DYNO TESTING (SMD AD-1)!!!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The RP-4500.1D is the most powerful monoblock subwoofer amplifier in the distinguished and highly reputable "RP series" from Skar Audio. Designed for the audiophile seeking a competition grade amplifier with high performance results, all at a reasonable price. The RP-4500.1D was designed to handle abuse; featuring four way protection circuitry (thermal, voltage, speaker, and DC short), keeping your amplifier safe while in the lanes or playing at full tilt for hours on end. This amplifier is stable running at a daily 1-ohm operating which allows for maximum power output.
Featuring massive 1/0 AWG inputs, the RP-4500.1D can be fed optimal levels of current from the thickest of power cable. This amplifier comes with a remote subwoofer level control and bass knob allowing the user full control over their bass from the front of the vehicle. This makes for a great amplifier when looking for serious power to get your system loud, and will work great on a single subwoofer around 4,500 watts RMS or a pair of subwoofers around 2,250 watts RMS each. Class D Circuitry design. Stappable: Yes.

Very very nice #'s for 12.5v's! Very nice! For a good price too! For all the guys that actually understand how the dyno works they will know these are great #'s. Its where the voltage is at at the end of the test not the beginning guy's.

i too was confused between the sk and rp but i took a chance and went with the rp and man oh man am i a happy camper. stable at 14.5 volts ive gotten reading higher then 6979 watts..Depending on songs this beast of a amp has gone up close to 9k no lie.. This thing is a power hungry monster, the more power you feed it the louder she gets..Heres the treat to it all. Im running 2 Evl 12s 2500 on this beast in a custom box in a 2004 yukon. the Evls can handle this power for a song or 2 but no more...like i dont ever have it up like that but you can still get away with it and turns heads no doubt. Bassheads swear up and down that im running 15s untill i show them. The RP 4500 is the one..... you wont regret it.

you need to do these tests at 1ohm & 2ohm sum people buy bigger amps and running less rms at 2 & 4 ohm.. so they can upgrade there subs later on.. especially since this is a budget friendly brand.. I would like to see the 2ohm test of the skv2.2500.. I know u have it listed @ 1450rms @2ohm 14.4v. but I'd like to see the "burst" it would definitely help people with deciding on subs to buy... thanks

I run my Rp4500 on a mechman 240 amp alt, 2 agm northstar batteries and dual 0 gauge runs into single inputs. Big 3 upgrade. Resting idle is 14.6 when I really crank this baby I drop to about 11.7 at idle. So a bigger alt and a better battery bank would really wake it up.

I just bought one if these to replace a taramps md8k to power 3 American bass tnt 15s (1500 rms version). I was wired at 2.66 ohms (2 ohm md8k) to try and combat rise.the taramps was pretty gnarly, but it died after 14 months of use. The subs literally shook parts off the taramps board. I'm having it repaired and going to hot glue everything to the board when I get it back. This rp 4500.1 I'd gonna get .66 and hopefully give me close to same level of power the md8k did. I have heard the Brazilian amps don't sound as good with subs as other amps but I will find out I guess. Ultimately I'm going to pick up another 4500 and strap em and just sell the taramps I think. Was my first Brazilian amp and It was impressive but as for longevity idk, may have just been a fluke who knows. And no I have never mounted an amp to the box, this one was solidly mounted to the floor about 6" away from the box. Have videos on my channel also Edit: the 4500 been in my truck almost a month, alot louder than the md8k was and plays notes the taramps didn't, won't be playing with full bridge amps again for sure!

I'm tuned at 27 in my truck ( well was, working on new setup rt now) and the taramps didn't have authority in mid 20s, but the skar hurts down into the teens with no problem. Basically fuck these Brazilian amps, junk, only good for motorcycle installs bc they are small. And don't get me started on the two and 4 channels having 3 terminals forn2 channels! If they started the test at 12v it would dip down to 11. The fact they start at 16+ is relative as that is not where they get the most output as the track ramps in therefore its dragging the bank down before the peak sine wave where it is getting the highest RMS rating. That is why dynamic shines though as it is a sudden punch not pulling a draw prior to maxing out the sine wave in a split second then allowing the bank to recover before another peak signal. So they might start high but your car is maintaining higher than their drop also remember this is not on a reactive load and that in itself is extemely taxing on the electrical. now if they got 4500 watts at 16v then yes I would fuly agree with your statement

It's not power hungry you just need a proper battery bank

This Amp Dyno test was at 16+ Volts and Not 14.8 Volts. Therefore; these readings are not accurate. Sooooooooo fake news... WoW

John Nelson starting voltage doesnt mean shit dude ending voltage is real world power. Your forgetting he has all these batteries but he dont have a 300 amp alt to charge em while theyre being drained. So they up initial voltage so they can get closer to 14.4 at the end of the test. God some people shouldnt be into car audio.
