This recipe was inspired by a Japanese popular teppanyaki restaurant chain called Pepper Lunch. This sizzling beef plate with a special savory pepper sauce not only tastes really good, but it's also visually appealing and fun to eat. If you premake the steak sauce in a batch, you can whip this up in less than 15 minutes. Enjoy~

Ingredients:
Thinly sliced beef 0.5 lb
Rice 1.5 cups
Scallions 3 stalks
Corn 1/3 cup (fresh or canned)
Butter 1/2 tbsp
Salt a pinch
Steak Sauce:
Sesame oil 1 tbsp
Onion 1/3 cup
Ginger 1 tsp
Garlic 1 tbsp
Soy sauce 2 tbsp
Brown sugar 2 tbsp
Apple juice 3 tbsp (substitute: orange juice)
Mirin 1 tbsp
Sake 1 tbsp
(or rice cooking wine)
Pepper 1/4 tsp
Roasted sesame 1 tbsp
***This is more than what you need for 1 serving, adjust amount used according to your taste
Tsp: teaspoon (5ml)
Tbsp: tablespoon (15ml)
