This is great for you to educate people showing them in step by step detail what needs to be done and done safely.

Hi, Great videos. With more than30 years as and aircraft mechanic, maybe I can make a suggestion that you, or some of your viewers may not know. A technique to use and avoid cross-threading a bolt. Place it against the nut, or into the channel as straight as possible, apply light pressure, and slowly turn it backwards. When it lines up with the start of the threads, you will feel it make sort of a little click. When you feel that, stop turning, and slowly start to screw it in. Should help.

We have a ton more videos to make on casting. These are the basic of the basics right now.

Tip - when aligning the threads start with a finger turn of the nut counter clock wise until (as viewed from above) you should feel a slight drop, stop, that is the start of the first thread of the nut aligning with the start of the thread on the unit, now finger turn clockwise until snug then a slight wrench torque to finish.

You can. Or you can dust them with mica and that'll help the lube stay put. I'll do a tutorial on pan lubeing bullets. Some store bought bullets are coated in moly or in a thin coat of "tumble lube".

@spritrocks Only if it has a gas check shank. Otherwise no. It also depends on the alloy you're using as well and how hot the load is.

@spritrocks The best mold for that...and I do mean the best is the Lyman #429421. It's a 250gr SWC and weighs about 242grs with Linotype. I push them out of my 44 and maximum pressure and speed. Super accurate and kills game like no other.

You can get a Ltyman 4500 for around $120. I got my Lyman 450 for $99. The dies run around $15-20 not including the nose punch.

Keep adjusting the set screw so that the bullet goes deeper. Don't allow it to lube the crimp groove.

Some are and some arent. I have some punches that are universal to what I cast for. You can also make you own custom punch using Steel Bed

I have a few Lee molds that I need to buy top punches for. Since there is not a cross chart for for lee molds how critical is top punch selection for Lyman or RCBS products that are to be used on Lee cast bullets? Do I just buy a similar looking punch? Thanks

Are the punches interchangeable with other manufacturers' molds?

Does sizing greatly increase accuracy ? While my cast handgun bullets do OK, my cast rifle bullets could use some help. I can't size bullets with my Rock Chucker ?
