I love how Six Senses caters to the culture of where said hotel is. From rugged beach-chic on the shore to buttoned-up and classy in Singapore they really pay homage to their surroundings instead of sticking out like sore thumbs irregardless. That shows a lot of thought and care for the people, culture and heritage of where they decide to put their stamp. Kudos Six Senses!
It's a very dark, yet intimate hotel. Very beautiful from the inside.
I could quite happily move into The Maxwell and never leave. It's just right.
OMG!! WOW!! the LIBRARY is most impressive...
The choice of music is flawless, brings tears of joy to my eyes. Thank you.
I love the music, what it the music, also seeing these videos of Singapore makes me want to go back, I have friend and family there

Singapore is overrated.
thanks for this. i love how dark and plush The Library is. i've been to Six Senses Uluwatu and love it for completely different reasons. seems like the thing that sets them apart is they know how to use local history and architecture to curate a luxurious experience. Duxton and Maxwell are now on my list.
The Duxton really has that Asian decor to the tee!
I spend most of the time in night, after such a busy day, your musics in the clips giving me a nice sleep ❤

You always stay at the best hotels!!! Thank you so much for sharing 😍
One hundred thumbs up as always !!!
Great Escape! ❤️ just spent 11days with Mom ... Mini Strokes. (That have stopped for a week) Always enjoy your shares, thank you!
Great Video. Thank you for posting.
What a great Singapore travel video , really enjoyed it, Thanks for sharing :)♥️🌹👍
Fun fact; they're now part of Marriott International, under its Autograph Collection brand. One is Duxton Reserve Singapore, and the other is Maxwell Reserve Singapore.
WOW!Way beyond my meagre pocket.Although I can respect the dominant fusion of Asia with British and European influence but correctly more Asian which is so enticing.Beautiful.
Another Great Video Brother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nicely shot, nicely edited. Again, another premium production. Bravo!
I spent 3 weeks at the Duxton Hotel in 2000 before it was sold and renovated. It was part of the British "Small Luxury Hotel" chain. It was a top notch property then and appears to be a top notch property now. The service and attention to detail were outstanding. The neighborhood was fun and eclectic. The only criticism I had was the distance from the metro (Tanjong Pagar) can be long and uphill.
Wonderful video. It is as though i was walking around the hotel.
Sorry I'm late, Dr. LTE. Fabulous video of both hotels and their sumptuous decor. Loved the LIbrary. Singapore makes the most of its limited space--kind of like San Francisco or NYC, only much cleaner :)
This video was like opening two new books of adventure. But then again this is Six Sensenses. I loved the Pearl Suite, with the natural white style. But both of the hotels is non the less beautifully decorated. And the menu had a lot of good choises you could choose from. I also liked the streets around the hotels and buildings. Loved the comment of history that you used. Either local or about the hotel.
I like all your videos. They are technically well made and I find them very relaxing. Congratulations. 👋🏻👋🏻

Thx for your kind comment!
There is nothing to compare with sitting in a comfortable chair with a large glass of single malt beside you and a good book in your hands. The kindle has a lot to answer for.
They both look beautiful but aesthetically it’s Duxton all the way for me.
Well done again, Doctor LTE! You hide from your reflection in mirrors better than the Nosferatu. Especially when you filmed in Garcha's. A wonderful presentation overall.

great, picture quality, bravo
Sir, You have covered most of the Five Star Luxury hotels all over the world. Awesome
I stayed in a hotel in Penang that was similar, in that it was a bunch of old colonial shop houses joined together. It was called Hotel Penaga and was lovely.
Very nice!!!
My eyes on that library 👀 👁👁 WOW!!!!
Beautiful interior. 👍
Beautiful as always, but my absolute favorite hotel review of yours was the Amanzoe in Greece.
Singapore is brilliant! And they plan on keeping it that way. Did you notice that there was not a scrap of paper or litter on the streets of Chinatown? No graffiti. Extremely low levels of crime with no overt signs of poverty (i.e. homeless and drug addicts wandering the streets). Excellent educational system. No racial tension among diverse ethnic groups and cultures. Tremendous pride in the country's achievements. Solid economic base for business and shady deals are not allowed. Singapore is a marvel! 👏👏👏👏
This is now Maxwell reserve. I don't believe it is part of the six sense franchise. But I stayed their in July this year and it boasts just as stunning of a stay.
Thank you .
I love your music
I was 100% convinced that you are using a ‘gimble’ like dj osmo for camera stability but damn when I saw your reflection I realised that you were holding the camera with your hands. Your hands are super steady (of course I’m sure the camera has stabilisation feature too). Great work 👍🏼
Lovely video. What is the music that's playing whilst looking at the two bars and the Murray Restaurant? Thank you.
So grand
AMANZING 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷👏👏👏👏👏
STUNNING......EAST MEETS WEST.. WITH GREAT STYLE.
One of the most beautiful hotels in the world that I know (Duxton). Thanks for the reminder.
My Fav Interior Designer Anouska Hempel!
Шикарно!))) Очень роскошно))))
thank you for todays "through my eyes to my brain" trip I didn't have to pay money for.
Magnifique. quelle classe ces hôtels. J’aime beaucoup le décor de Jacques Garcia le style du Fouquet’s à Paris. Merci pour ces belles vidéos toujours accompagnées d’une musique douce adéquate.
Nice vid 📹. What soundtrack did you use? It's very nice

Didn’t know Six Senses made such hotels. Thought their properties were usually outside heavily populated places, and their theme was more or less organic to their surroundings.

They will also open an urban resort in Manhattan soon
Duxton: beautiful with a unique identity as expected from six senses Maxwell: extremely disappointing for six senses standards
What is the noise like being so close to the road and being low down
A library/bar. What a concept, lol
Which of the following budgets would you choose? A: 80% on flights and 20% on hotels B: 50% on flights and 50% on hotels C: 20% on flights and 80% on hotels

I'll meet you at the door with your coat. ;)
The rooms are too small and it feels too crowded with the hotel over- furnishings.
Hello from a subscriber in the Philippines, will you consider visiting the island country? Cheers!
It reminds me of an advertisement of Amman hotel
Finally you showed up! Nice review.
Luxury Travel Expert stay safe! You of all people must not get the coronovirus!
The Duxton would be my choice ...
How was the street noise from inside your room’s bedroom? Very quiet? Or some traffic noise, etc?
Thank you very very much for these videos, your videos become on of my daily routine. i really appreciate the detail of your videos.
Great review 👍🏼
Fantastic hotel and review as always! Love the ambience and decor, very warm and inviting. And finally got a little glimpse of your face as well. 😉😊
I went to Raffles in 1979 aged 14. Before dusk, a still, pink sunset. Wandered off, up the stairs and saw Rudyard Kipling had a plaque as commemoration on his favourite bedroom door. It was a magnificent moment for this bookish and musical girl. I stood, imagining him through the locked door, writing at his desk with a billowing, thin curtain over the open wooden window. I put my ear to the door thinking he would be half listening to the muffled, comforting sounds below, through the evening breeze.... ceiling fan , like metronome. I'm suddenly aware of great inspiration all around me. Raffles, and Singapore became unforgettable treasures to me. This video, or more importantly, the magnificent audio has inspired me, thank you. My first (LP) album aged three was The Jungle Book. My parents drank delicious gin and tonics on the grass. I learned about the famous gin sling, and those parents, in that moment were wiser to my overwhelming appreciation of their parenthood.
how much is 1 night ?
This was shut down during covid wasn't it? Nobody wanted to stay there. Very strange choice for Six Senses to create these 2 hotels in SG. I think guests wanted something more like Capella Sentosa...
Given it's immense size; does the hotel have is own librarian or perhaps a dedicated steward?

wow!!!
Very good hotel, 👍👍👍👍👍.
VERY NICE BUT I PREFER GREECE GREETINGS FROM ARGENTINA ALI
Six senses had pulled out from singapore hence theses properties are longer managed by six senses. The hotel is not great now
Small luxury on a budget. I would rather stay at Raffles.
cool boss
To me a bar in Singapore is as useless as the proverbial. The taxes on alcohol in that nation are so high that in turn make a simple drink so expensive in bars as to literally make your eyes water you'd be better picking up a bottle in duty free as you come through and having a drink in your room.
A suite with no windows ? No thank you.

What do you mean bad place do you even know how expensive those shophouses around the area plus it’s central area of Singapore if you don’t know anything about this hotel and the history behind it you should not comment 🥱🤐

@@ronalddavid8082 👎 My comment has nothing to do with you . It doesn't matter how expensive the houses are, or what the story is behind those . For me, Singapore means technology, modern architecture, luxury and in general Marina bay Sands . You go to the Chinatown . For the Terminator no matter where it goes !
