No it isn't. Greeks are a few hours drive away, and the city is as important to them as it is to us. This is done purely out of spite to Greeks, and to make the nationalists happy.

Why transform Christian places of worship to Muslim ones? In the Quran Allah says that the Christians and the Jews are the People of the Book & their places of worship where God's name is pronounced, should be protected by Muslims. Also read Sura 5: 82 - 83. Note also how the Christians are prosecuted in the Holy land, just because they say we believe! May Allah guide us all 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸

Would be nice if sons focus was given to the fantastic conservation work that has been done to maintain the architecture and character of this beautiful building. It was consecrated for the worship of God, and it survives for that exact purpose today. ❤

How many mosques did the kreestians ad others destroyed ? Crusades, INQUISITION, occupation pf Muslim lands and end of Muslim rule throughout different land saw thousands of Muslim places of worship being totally demolished and destroyed. Just take a look, what Armenians did in Karabakh (Azerbaijan), Greece ( till to this day no mosque in Athens !) India, Myanmar (Burma), list goes on.

That's not just a church but hold the history and culture for the christians as Hagia Sophia, as Indonesian muslim we never have this kind of behavior. Islam came to us through diplomacy, we don't turn our ancestors temple and other worship place to masjid. Because islam teach us to living in peace with others. It mean embrace the diversities
