    Wow. Never heard Eldritch talking everyday talk in an interview before. Only ever heard him sing. 32 years. He's such a lad lol. I expected him to sound more like Leonard Cohen somehow.

    SoM is one of those bands you rapidly hate incessantly or rapidly fall in love with at the first listen. In my case it was the latter. It's been one of my favourite bands lately...

    I hated their sound at first then gave them several chances. Now my fav songs are Flood II, Driven Like the Snow, Dominion, Neverland. Only all of Floodland lol

    Seen them back in the 80's a couple of times.... or did i really... The dry Iceland gig at Glasgow Strath Uni was amazing and OTT with the smoke machine... Band got us on the guest list at the Queen Margaret Union a year earlier and remember seeing a red car parked outside the venue with the Merciful Release logo on bonnet 👍👍👍😍☮️✌️👀

    This should be 1990 because the invasion of Kuwait and Operation Desert Shield started in that year (not desert storm, which was in 1991). Noriega was overthrown in 1989 in the Panama War. Both events during Bush's time.

    @@contentstarved991 He's from Ely, ended up in Leeds thru studies. Mind you, i dont think he sounds especially east anglian either. I think he's got the typical weak/non-dialect you get from university studies. You meet people from all over, and hear and read heaps of formal text til it wears down most of the regionality of it.

    @@LilNicky109 What’s that got to do with it? She was half of the band, she was the bass player, she was at the recording sessions. That means she gets paid. You do understand that right??? Or do you think only the songwriter gets paid and the rest of the band perform for free? Songwriting royalties go to the songwriter, but the rest of the band still earn a wage. Doh!

    @@greva2904 Yeah, they’re called “session musicians.” DOY! Patricia even came out and said that Floodland was a solo project. But Andrew wrote all the music, and if you’re in a band and don’t help write the music then you aren’t entitled to the longevity of what that band reaps. Can’t stand band dudes sitting around bitching about what they think they deserve when they do the bare minimum

    We are not a club band - we don't play to less that five thousand people. Cut to the last 10 years and they would be lucky to get five thousand people hence they are a club band. Note to former self - keep your mouth shut and be grateful for what you have.
