To be honest I think Gabe's reaction to his father forgetting his birthday is a bit much. Yes it hurts when your parents forget something important to you, but the level of heartbreak he felt about something he could have brushed off as a young adult leads me to believe there is much more below the surface going on then we can see. I don't think this is about his birthday. It seems this is more about feeling rejected or that his father doesn't truly love him.

Broke my heart also. Your dad had his nerve calling to compare covid symptoms and not remembering it was your birthday. Please ,I don't want you to make you feel worse with my opinion. Kody is the kind of guy that whatever he has will be worse than anyone else from covid , failed marriages, or whatever comes down the line. Your mom (s) love you and your brothers and sisters do also. I sincerely wish you all the best this life has to offer.

I had the love of my dad, until the narcissists of my family got rid of my dad. They wanted the inheritance. My narcissistic mother and my siblings haven’t called me since for my birthday or any other holiday. I know the pain Janelles kids have because of their narcissistic father.

I cannot understand why this show is not canceled. The heartache of the children is ripping me apart. Am I the only one who cries for Gabriel? If this is scripted, then it is cruel. Kody is not even human. He is void of feelings for his own children, unless they were born to Robyn. I will lose all respect for Jenell if she continues to allow Kody to talk about her kids like they are trash to be thrown out. TLC has a lot of explaining to do. Christine stood up for her kids and got out. I can only hope Jenell does the same for the sake of her children.

I agree.. Have you noticed that we never see him camping with his sons or taking his daughters to get ice cream? You know, the normal things good dads do with their kids. I never see him with his kids except with Robyns kids in the background. The older kids are ignored, abandoned it seems, but Kody turns it all around and blames Christine and Janelle for his lack of good relationships with his older kids. He turns it around to make it look like its their faults and their kids faults.. When its all KODY THE EGO'S fault.

This happened to my mom when she turned 16. Her entire family including her 9 siblings and her parents forgot her bday. It’s something that always stays with you. Some ppl shouldn’t have a lot of kids and this guy is one of them.

He refused to tell my older sister happy birthday because she didn’t say it to him on his…I had to remind him he abandoned us and we shouldn’t be obligated to remember his birthday but he’s our father and should remember his children birthday.

Forgetting a birthday during a call is bad but it can happen even to the best of parents. This son's hurt goes deeper than forgetting to say happy birthday during that first call.

My father forgot my birthday took him 2 months to remember that he forgot it. My father only had 2 kids. It’s hard when a parent stops caring about you. I feel for him.

Coming here after the terrible news about Garrison Brown. My heart breaks for his parents but almost more so for Gabe as it’s been reported Gabe is the one who found Garrison’s body. Just so awful.

My opinion is that he has lost all respect for Meri.....because she is willing to stay in that sham of a marriage. But Christine is a whole other situation. It absolutely breaks my heart to see the pain that Gabriel is in. I have been there and can physically feel the pain. I hope he is able to find some peace with his relationship with his dad and realise it's Kody's issue and nothing to do with Gabe 💔

Watching him cry broke my heart. What a loser of a dad. The bare minimum he could do is put a reminder in his phone and Gabe's not even worthy of that.

Its not that Kody "just forgot his birthday", its what it meant to Gabriel for him to reach out. It is indicative that Kody can't do the bare minimum for his son who needs him. Gabriel has limited contact with his father, and a birthday phone call and check in should be the most basic effort a dad can extend.16 children is obviously a lot to handle but the issue isnt that hes overwhelmed, its that he has made his priorities *crystal clear*. I am so glad we got to see Christine get out.

When I was younger I experienced this..I called my father from Germany while married to a soldier and I didn't want to have to tell my own parent it was my birthday. It's a very heartbreaking moment in your life. It makes you feel like you aren't important enough to remember even though they were one of the people who made you. You heart doesn't forget that..I didn't talk to him for a long time. I learned to speak about how I felt and thank God we healed our relationship bc I'm 37 and lost him in my late 20s. I hope they can heal their relationship. Just from a child and parent relationship standpoint..you have to heal yourself by trying at least

The Narc (Kody) did it intentionally. He’s angry at Gabriel’s Mother( Janelle ) and he wants to punish him for questioning his co-conspirator (Robyn). Narcissists never forgives…they take no accountability, I pray that Janelle and her children can remove themselves from Kody’s life and find peace.

I feel so sad for this, I've watched since before Robyn came into the picture, and she actually ruined their dynamics. You could always tell she was his priority and he was trying to keep up with the others. This shouldn't be aired.

I don’t know how you watched it before Robin came into the picture, because if you go back she’s in season 1 episode one, The very first episode. that’s where he announced he was going to be courting another woman and at the end of the episode Robin is introduced but the kids already know her. But I do agree the family was ruined from the time she came in because Cody never cared about the others after she came.

Gabriel crying broke my soul. I just want to hug this kid. Kotex gaslighting Janell about being "loyal" and playing emotional games with her made me so mad!!!! This man blames everyone but himself. He is the definition of a narcissist. For Kotex to say he "missed" Robyns daughter while she was isolating during the covid break out proved who he truly cares about. Kotex completely forgot his sons birthday, and puts ALL his wives and children second to Robyn and her children. Kotex freaked about Robyn being in the ER with covid, but could not go with Christine for Ysabel's spinal surgery (major surgery). Robyn was never admitted to the hospital, was never in any real danger, and just like everything else made it seem like she had the "worst" case of covid in the world!!! There are patients on vents to breathe with covid, Robyn never needed even a nasal cannula for oxygen. She always plays everything to the extreme. This man is a worthless father and abusive husband. Robyn is a manipulator, and liar. They deserve eachother. PLEASE do a spin off with Janell and Christine!!!! That would be awesome!!!!!

Some people may say this isn’t a big deal, but when you already feel like your dad favors his other kids than remembering a birthday is a big deal.

Am I the only one who doesn't believe kodys and Robins covid sob story.. they are con artists and really bad ones at that. I have a feeling some dark stuff is going to come to light about them

Gabriel's response broke my heart. It also broke my heart when his daughter had back surgery and upon awakening was asking for her father.

When I saw this it absolutely broke my heart! Ive been there, My dad and son both forgot my birthday! Its just another day, but it hurts to bad when the ones you love forget you! All I wanted to do is hug Gabriel! Im sorry your dad only thinks about himself! You have so many that love you!

#CancelCody Heartbreaking to watch. A pain a child should never have to feel. You can see the emotional break after he said it out loud.

How do you exclude some of your children in spending the holidays together.. When i think kody cant get worse i learn something new and disgusting. I feel bad for those kids, im sure hes not the only one hurting

When Gabe cries it breaks my heart

"Someone that is connected to me." He meant Sobyn Robyn. Even parents can be toxic people because if all they do is make you sad, it's best to cut them off and set yourself free.

This is why Janelle is going to be the next to leave. These women put up with a lot from him (like most women do in relationships) but the moment it affects their children... Him not being there for Christine's daughter's operation was the reason she realised that she is leaving him. He better hope this is Janelle's straw that broke the camel's back. Maybe that's why Meri doesn't have the desire to leave the man who has no interest in her, her daughter's grown and on her own. I can imagine when she grew up he could be a lot more involved with her because there weren't 50 other kids around. And Robyn should have no complaints because she is the queen and her kids are the chosen ones.

Did you all see where he was not at his daughters side when she had to have that very serious surgery and he did not attend? Then did you see he traveled a distance to marry that couple??? Geeeeeeeeeee Kody.......do ya think that is where you came in contact with covid???? Hummmmmmmm>????? No doubt in my mind you will blame Janelle and her children. Janelle....get out of that relationship. Your kids will see that you are standing up for them and not for that good-for-nothing excuse of a human being. OK, Robyn.....here's your cue to cry. boo hoo. That's what you do best.
