Second, I figured out I have to just start without thinking first. If i think about it, my brain is going to tell me do it later. My home isn't perfect, but it's so much better! An addition to your bathroom cleaning tip. Powder laundry soap works really well for cleaning bathrooms and greasy kitchens, too. Using less water allows it to be an abrasive, a bit like scrub daddy. A single mom friend had to keep her bathroom and kitchen clean with 7 kids and a roomate. She always used Mexican laundry soap. I tried it and rarely use other products now.

I offered to help and used your oven cleaner and clingfilm tips in the tiles at the back of her cooker. She wasn’t able to reach them and they were very dirty, but they came up lovely and clean. Hi Auri - I watch you from Western Australia and love your videos. Here is a tip in case you didn't know.... You can unclip the two hinges of the oven door to easily lift it off the oven for cleaning at the kitchen sink - also allows better access to the inside of the stove for cleaning. I take all the racks out and spray them - then put them inside a garbage bag and seal it overnight, then scrub them in the shower the next day.

After my next trip to the grocery store I'm definitely going to try your method. I had taken them out to do in the kitchen sink, and it was just making a watery mess everywhere.

YES! That was the best discovery ever, made cleaning the floor so much easier. It’s wicked frustrating to sweep dog and cat fur, it just goes airborne and relocates somewhere else. The squeegee holds the fur in a ball and it doesn’t fly around. I don’t know the science of it-guessing static might be the culprit-but it changed my cleaning routine and shaved off time and frustration. I want to foster dogs as well once I m settled in my new home, dogs are proof God loves us, that’s why we use the same three letters in God and dog. Did you have to complete loads of training or paperwork? I know states differ, just wondering how long of a process it is to be a dog foster.

Thank you so much for all you do! You are an inspiration! My house is cleaner than it's been in years, all because of watching your videos. It's amazing to see what you can do with with these messy, messy places and it made me realize my own cluttered mess didn't have to feel overwhelming. It's still a work in progress, but I'm no longer embarrassed to have guests over, so we're making lots of headway!

I will never stop loving your videos. They are so motivating and also satisfying. Hearing the stories of the people living in these houses/apartments etc. is also super interesting. You never know what a person is really going through. But hearing the stories makes those living situations make so much sense. Thank you for helping people in need and not judging.❤

I’m so glad Auri has the creative freedom to make her videos the way they’re meant to be experienced . If this 45 min episode were on HGTV, they’d add all this extra “fluff” that just isn’t needed. This is therapeutic, start to finish. You’re inspiring Auri! Though my home has never gotten to that extreme, I’ve learned so many new ways to clean because of your videos. I’ve been able to finally clean things that I had been putting off. Keep doing what you’re doing!

Amazing cleaning. I really empathize with Joe and his sister, it is so hard to keep going when your dad passes...I lost mine in September and every day feels like a struggle. You are wonderful for helping him out. I hope his clean kitchen is filled with yummy chicken wings always. 😔

🥹 Losing a parent is uniquely painful due to the fact you’ve never known a world without them, they’ve always been a huge part of you and your life. I felt gutted when my mom passed away suddenly, and I completely understand what you mean with every day feeling like a struggle. I don’t have a fool proof method to get that feeling gone, hell I couldn’t figure out how to even lessen it for months. It does improve with time(which you’re most likely sick of hearing like I was), I slowly learned how to incorporate her memory into my life and actions in a way that makes me smile most of the time with an ugly, blubbering crying session every so often. Hang in there, you’re obviously a very good person judging by your honesty and kindness in your comment and this world is running short on people like you.

I love these videos. I used to clean houses when I was in college, and a man once hired me to clean his elderly father's apartment. The place was a disaster, I've never seen anything like it. I had to work in fast-forward to get it done in time, but it was the most satisfying experience I had in that job. It felt so good to be able to give someone a clean living space. I just wish I could have cleaned there regularly, because the man clearly needed the help.

Hi Auri, I think you're great for cleaning people's houses for free. I also really enjoy watching your videos, especially when you clean the bathroom and the floors. I don't know if you have done this already, but could you please show us how you clean your cleaning supplies? Like the cloths, sponges, flat mop, etc. Or do you buy new supplies for every house that you clean? Thank you in advance ❤️

I don't think she has showed us, but she has told us ;) Except for the toilet sponges, which she throws away, or if they are too damaged by ovens, she put them in the dishwasher at 90C cycle. Same with the cloths, unless too damaged, 90C washing machine cycle :)

Auri did an excellent job here! It would be great if she could add a machine like "little green machine" to her cleaning equipment which would allow for deep cleaning sofas, mattresses and carpets which very often need it. It would be super satisfying to see how much dirt she could extract (how dirty the water is) from cleaning a mattress or other fabrics.

yes! i'd love to see fabrics being cleaned as well. even when the house is completely free of trash, it doesn't look 100% complete with big stains left on the sofas, carpets, etc.

I'm sure you'd find a lot of channels that specialize in cleaning rugs and mattresses, there is already wayyy to much to do in these houses even if she doesn't clean the fabrics.

@@mina0653 that for sure, i just had 2 episodes in mind - 1 with a mattress that normally should have been tossed because it was full of stains and maggots and auri felt bad to have to leave him sleep in that and one with a sofa that had a lot of very bad stains, but also could not be tossed. In each of these cases the cleaning of each object might have taken 30 min. I agree that you can not deep clean everything, but for spot cleaning certain things that could make a big difference for the hygienic condition (like a mattress or sofa) of the appartment it would be great - maybe if she cleans in tandem with a friend?

@@Laura-je2uw it is not her responsibility to do everything, she's there to help the owner out and make the house at least kinda liveable again. As you said, all these mattresses should have been thrown out. The problem is that a lot of these people don't have the recourses to buy a new bed straight away and Auri doesn't have where to toss them out anyway. You can't just leave it on the sidewalk in Finland. Deep cleaning a crappy mattress should will be thrown out soon is a waste of time imo, you can't do a proper job in 30 minutes. For the same reason she doesn't wash the clothes even if they're moldy and all

I used clean houses. They were respectable houses, but at 3,000 sq ft, large and it would take me between 4-5 hours as I worked alone and I detail cleaned. I did it for three years and it paid far better than my next career in healthcare! I know that feeling of accomplishment you get as you are leaving the property. What you do is exceptional ❤
