Awesome video! From start to finish, it was worth every moment. HSN has a great holiday bundle going on right now, and I purchased it today. I have the Cricut Maker 3 and the Brother Scan & Cut. Both are exceptional cutting machines with their own pros and cons. I also tried the Cricut Venture and quickly went back. For nearly $1k, the Cricut Venture is limited in what it can cut and the brands it supports. Not even a rotary blade is compatible with the Venture. What is disturbing is that Cricut Design Space can't really allow for free-forming any of your designs. So, I'm hoping that the Siser software will allow me to free-form any designs of my own. Additionally, I'm hoping that the Romeo will have the ability to cut fabrics, which is my main purpose for owning any cutter.

Hello! You're going to love the Romeo! I do have to say I think this machine is hands down better than any other machine out there. I have cut fabric a couple times on the Romeo. The machine doesn't have a rotary blade, but even without that I was still able to get cuts on fabric. I tried: cotton (with no stabilization), felt, suede, and faux leather! I even did foam too.
I freakin LOVE DTV!! I got some matte stuff on icraft vinyl's website that feels like paper even after you lay it down!! but that Sister Romeo machine is a beast of a machine tho wow!! It looks like Cricut should be taking notes with this software holy crap!! This is my first time seeing how not only their software works, but their machine too and WOWIE wow what a BIG Bluey!! haha Definitely can't do that on my Explore Air 2!!!

I have a new video today showing you how to create a whole t-shirt design in Siser program. Honestly, it was my first time designing from start to finish in the program and I found it to be so freaking easy! 🤯
Fantastic tutorial! I don’t have the SISER Romeo yet, but I’m watching and learning. QUESTION: Could you have done the large print then cut without the mat? Thank you for sharing your Romeo experience.
@ashleefalco

if you are cutting through the material (like cardstock) you shouldn't do matless cutting. If you're only cutting through a single layer (think HTV and vinyl) then you can always do matless projects.
This was so wonderful!! Excellent tutorial on print then cut. Thank you very much!! I'm wondering if you can do a print then cut on the Siser Glitter HTV? It would be amazing to be able to do this all on the Romeo without having to print on sublimation paper then placing over glitter and pressing. Thank you again for your wonderful video!! 💯💯💯😍😍😍🩷🩷🩷

I’m pretty certain you can print on glitter HTV with a regular inkjet printer. You’ll need to still print on a sublimation printer then press onto glitter HTV. I’d probably then print then cut on the siser, so it alleviates trying to line up your sublimation print later.

@@ashleefalco Excellent info. Thank you very much!!!
I know that you had to reprint the large print then cut designs because the printout was too long for the mat but, what I'm curious about is the matless cutting feature on the Siser Romeo. Have you ever tried the matless cutting feature with the photo paper material to see if the Romeo would've still cut out images?
@ashleefalco
7 сағат бұрын
It totally would’ve, however it’s not suggested. If you’re cutting through your material (creating die cuts) then you want to use the mat. But if you’re doing kiss-cuts (think HTV and vinyl) then you can do matless for any size.
Loved watching this. Glad I found you. Tell me what 24” printer do you have and are you happy with it? I am in the market. What brand sticker paper do you use? I so love love Wednesday! Bought my Juliet and then my Romeo 1st day they were out and my cricuts and silhouettes are collecting dust. I so love this machine and their support is amazing.

Hi!!! I'm glad you found me too! My 24" printer is this: amzn.to/3W58ciI . I absolutely love the printer! The only thing that is a negative is that it doesn't print single sheets of paper really well (which isn't it's intended use anyways, so I can't judge it too hard for this). The print quality for everything I print is so freaking crisp! It's the best printer as far as quality that I own! That said, the ink for this is pricey ($100 for a full set) but the ink does last a long time! The sticker brand that I use is this stuff: amzn.to/3qZQXps it's the best of the best!

Sorry but couldn’t respond to your other post. What is the 24” paper you used and you say expensive. Is it adhesive? Does it come on a roll?
Love your videos. I have a 24” canon printer also. What roll of paper you use. I had found a 17” roll of glossy sticker paper. Would love a 24” roll.

I’m not sure I heard in the video but what printer are you using to get prints that big? I’m in the market for a new printer I want a larger one for this reason and the Romeo is also my next purchase I’m so tired and frustrated with cricut never working properly

Is the max mat size 24 x 24 or do you think a 24 x 28 mat would work too as long as the registration marks are there?
@ashleefalco

From what I’ve been told, you can go as long as the mat that you have. (If you’re doing a print then cut on printable vinyl - something that doesn’t need a mat, apparently you can go WAYYYY long)

@@ashleefalco I've cut vinyl on my Romeo that was 180" long!
I’m new to owning a Romeo and your video has been so helpful! Just a question, I need to save my file as a PDF instead of printing it instantly (my printer doesn’t print that large so I’ll be getting it printed elsewhere). For some reason when I do this the little triangle under that bottom left registration mark disappears. It looks you were able to print that tiny jar without the triangle under the registration mark in this video? Does that mean it can still register the cut accurately without it? Not sure what it’s use is, would really appreciate your thoughts :)

The newest update for Leonardo does have you print from pdf software versus straight from Leonardo. That said, I don’t have the triangle and have been able to successfully do a cut. That sad, make sure you put the paper on your mat correctly.

@@ashleefalco thanks for the reply! That’s a relief to hear, sorry can you elaborate what you mean by making sure to put my paper on the mat correctly? As in, make sure the corner where the triangle should be is on the bottom left?

Ashlee, does the Romeo have the score feature?
@ashleefalco

It has a dotted line feature (like how the silhouettes machine work). As far as a score line (like the cricuts) no they don’t have that yet. However! I did hear they are possibly coming out with attachments like the score line!

@@yalimarperez7603 mine is missing it too, the arrow really doesn't do anything with your machine. You just want to make sure that you put your print on the mat correctly. So the bottom left of your mat, should be where that arrow is suppose to be.

Great machine but if you dont line up the blade directly over the arrow the cuts will be off

Not true. You can see on the screen if it’s off and if it is you move the red dot to the corner of the registration mark.

How well does the Siser Romeo cut cotton fabrics and other fabrics, for appliqué work? Are there any videos demonstrating cutting various fabrics?
@ashleefalco
11 ай бұрын
Hello! I've talked to my insider at Siser. They haven't yet tested the machines to cut fabric as it sits. They are currently making new tools for the Siser machines that will include a fabric cutting tool (I'm assuming it'll be a rotary cutter). That said, I'm up for a challenge so I'll be doing my own testing on this question! -Ashlee
