That would be game changer for me and that it cut’s clear acrylic. This is what is stopping me from purchasing. I don’t need the p2 series to big for me love the idea of the ultra because I will e able to do pretty much everything my maker does but my printing will be done at the same time😊
If you had GF purple for the Aura - it should have cut. I purchased some GF acrylic from Michaels when it was on sale. I have the D1 10 WATT and I am able to cut the purple. Diode lasers do not cut blues. Something about the color and the color waves from the laser.
Your settings are not much different than the ones I use on my D!.
Ashlee, I want to thank you again for the Live you just had a bit ago! Very VERY helpful!! I'm wondering...can I use my phone camera for laser engraving, as well? You showed us how to use our phone's camera (along with the xTool app) to take a picture of the acrylic for cutting...but does it work for engraving tumblers, as well? Thanks again!
Hello! Thank you for joining in today, I had an absolute blast! On Friday there will be a video all about the M1 ultra camera (if you’re a premium member to my channel it’s already available for you to watch). As far as the camera on our phone working with tumblers, I’m not 100% sure. My brain tells me it will, but I’ll have my cord tomorrow so I’ll be able to play around with it all this week to verify what it can do.
please try the acrylic ♥
I did today LIVE 🤯🤯🤯 Can the xTool machine cut acrylic? kzread.info2E-Da8Sip48?feature=share
This is helpful. What printer model are you using?
Hello! This is my printer: amzn.to/3QltMQk
I cannot get these to actually save as svg to open in silhouette studio. it saves as .html no matter what I do
i am brand new to juliet and Leonardo. all I want to do is create my own circle sticker for my pepper jelly but I am having issues inserting the pepper clipart and letting it print I have been working on this for over a week Seems like none of the tutorials have the answer for my question. Ihave previously designed in Silhouette but with their issues now I cannot get it to save as an svg
Tandy, please email me your file and screenshots of what’s happening to you, I’d love to help you. [email protected]
Can I have your old tools. I don’t have anything.
I use them all.
can you do a tumbler
There is a future video dedicated to just this ❤️
does it engrave tumblers
it can, there is a future video dedicated to just this ❤️
Can I get a link for the screen print kit in the video please ?
It is linked, but here it is again: www.xtool.com/products/xtool-screen-printer-1st-screen-printing-solution-with-laser?ref=AshleeYFalco&
This is a cool machine, no doubt. But I wouldn’t “get rid” of any machine, at first, until you see how you may or may want to use each feature of this machine and how often. With inkjet printers, the cartridges are really expensive, (I too use a tank printer and it’s so great to not have to replace pricy cartridges all the time.) I assume the proprietary cartridges used by x tools are the same. But this is a “wow” machine for sure. I don’t do the type of crafting to justify such an investment, but it’s fun to see what it can do. Thanks!
So many other crafters don't like the cartridges, I must be the only crafter that doesn't mind.
can you engrave on aluminum & stainless steel tumblers?
There is a future video dedicated to just this ❤️
What is that font please?
The cursive was this: www.dafont.com/amalfi-coast.font
Yes I want to see if it can print on acrylic
I will be testing this out today LIVE at noon est
Can i know the board size ?
The boards are linked in the video description
Hey Ashlee. Can this be done with iron-on?
It totally could! However, make sure to put a piece of parchment paper down under your square so you don’t press it on your garment
Definitely your way.. I was amazed how professional it looked, and how easy it appears to create.
It's super easy to create!
It’s a hard pass for me. The UV stuff is cool but it disappears fast and doesn’t color change forever.
100% agreed
I love that font, but always have trouble weeding it. TFS💕
I wonder if it's the cut settings that is off or the vinyl you're using, because I never have issues and I'm a crafter who can't stand working with vinyl & hates the act of weeding LOL
@@ashleefalco I want to try your fast cut and see how it goes. I don't mind weeding, if it goes well lol
What kind of paper did you use ?
One of the grey wheels on my cricut maker keeps moving during cuts and then mat will move & my projects get ruined 😢
ugh. I'm so sorry!
What about a phone case?
like on a actual phone, or plastic case?
What glue do you use to glue the plastic please ???
My plastic holders have glue already on them.
I love your tutorials! Just as an FYI, Bluey is a girl. =)
good to know.
What you are doing makes sense to me, however, I have an SVG file I created in Canva Pro. I can't get the image to do anything but be just a one layer issue, when there's actually 3. I'd love any advice! I'm trying to separate a design into it's 3 colors to send to the screen print company I'm using but it just gives me 1 layer. Help!!!
I've been watching your video, thinking of getting the M1 Ultra. Can I do engraving on jewelry and do tumblers with it or what would you recommend?
You can engrave on stainless steel jewelry and also do tumblers with the rotary tool attachment ❤️❤️❤️
I ordered it. I got the ultra package with everything. Go big or go home right? Ps recently found you on here and love your videos!!
@@grandmacherilyn heck yes!!! Meet me back here at noon (est) today, I'm going to try cutting all types of acrylic on my M1 ultra (and other xTools that I have)
What DTV did you use for the pumpkin shirt?
This stuff: www.heattransferwarehouse.com/siser-easycolor-dtv/?aff=104 (you can buy it on amazon but it's WAY more expensive)
Does the ink on your glossy paper rub off on your hands? i have that issue
not for me - I would suggest making sure your print settings are correct.
I appreciate this video so that I know what to do when I open mine
yay! Happy crafting!
Thank you so much for this video...I have had mine in the box for a few months now
oh no, get that out of the box and start crafting
@@ashleefalco I will very soon...healing from foot surgery
Where did you get those little metal things please do tell me
Those came from hobby lobby but you can get them off Amazon as well.
Don’t know the answer for the excess glue yet, but could have saved the whole shirt for you with the oil stains and you’d still have your pumpkin pie shirt. 😢Since you said you loved the shirt I was trying to stop you from removing the decal. Didn’t you hear me, saying, “No! Wait!” 😂 For oil stains (happens to me all the time), put baby powder or corn starch on the spot and let it set for about a day. This absorbs so much of the oil. Then put Dawn dish liquid on the spot and wash and dry normal. Occasionally, depending on the size and age of the spot, you may need to redo the process, but I have saved so many shirts over the years by doing this. Hope you recovered quickly from the fumes side effects. Take care of yourself.
Okay so here me out LOL The shirt still is in a crumbled ball on my coatroom floor, maybe I'll try your grease hack and if it works I'll recut the DTV and press it on the shirt saving it. Because that green color is such a good fall color.
@@ashleefalco Oh I would love to hear that it worked for you. Good luck!
i think the best way to test the machine is to have multiple designs, placed side by side, printed and cut by the machine. Also how easy it is to knock the machine head out of position while changing tools?
Lol, "I can't wear it anymore because of the stains"...that's when I make it a "house shirt", what I wear around the house so when I spill stuff all over it, I don't care. I don't wear nice stuff around the house. "I don't like expensive" says the woman with a giant xTool and a wall of Cricut's behinder her 😆🤣(just giving you a hard time, lol)
lol you have house clothes and outside clothes? I'm 100% comfy at all times so I don't have either HAHA
@@ashleefalco lol, well yeah me too. But I have clothes I wear in public, the ones without the stains, and the ones with the stains I wear when I'm at home and no one is going to see me, except the hubs, the cats, and the dogs, lol!
Thank you 😊
You're welcome 😊
This is so good it is handy for me to creat something out of it to not wast and throw it in the bin I am 10 years old
HI! Happy Crafting!
OMG it worked AMAZINGLY!!! I used acrylic. It took longer but it is totally worth it. .Thank you for showing us how to do it!!! I loved your tone of voice, your explanations, thanks!!!!
Seems like an amazing machine though the $1300 starting price is a bit out of my range. 😔 Maybe in the future when I have a side hustle bringing in some funds for retirement. 😁 Excellent video! Thank you for sharing ❤
Add it to your Christmas list, maybe Santa wi bring it to you ❤️❤️❤️
i would like the machine to not require the changing of modules in order to do different tasks. OR for the machine to be able to switch the modules itself. and what if you use the laser instead of the print option on paper? does it have fire detection/ safety features?
I totally understand what you’re saying about wanting it more automated. Maybe in the future this will happen, remember this is the first of its kind machine. ❤️ also! There is a flame & fire detectors lol I actually found this out on my live q&a 😂
@@ashleefalco ty for the reply, good to hear it has some sort of warning.
This is impressive but it appears that you’re limited in your cutting of wood to 12x12 or less? I do like the print and cut feature for printing and laser cutting wood, as this is very impressive, however, the ink cartridges may be cost prohibiting and that concerns me since I know that regular ink cartridges are costly and run out very quickly.
Hi! What I’ve found out is the cartridges cost $25 I hear you can buy refill inks for cheaper and refill the cartridge yourself. That said, I’ve printed so many things and I’m still going strong 😍
Cut acrylic.
check back with me today at noon est! Going live cutting acrylic!
Are you going to print on paper with expensive ink? I have a black and white laser the toner is much cheaper. I use my ink jet when I’m doing the occasional color print. I’m looking to cut wood I could care less about engraving
Phew, I sure hope you’re happier than you’re commented came off as ❤️
Hope you’re feeling better!
Thank you, I am feeling better, it took me a few days to recover. It was BAD
Hope you feel better soon. I would use Sticky Stuff remover which can be used on clothes I have used to get sticky residue of sticky labels before and has a pleasant smelly.
Is it actually called sticky stuff remover? i need to remove some old HTV
have you used it on HTV?
TBD - because she said "sticky labels" which I feel isn't HTV -- we'll see 🤞🏼
@@ashleefalco no but was thinking of it being used after the htv has been removed and the residue from the glue. I am going to try it on htv that I have on a apron see if it works on a an apron I have which I want to change what it says on it and i will use on the htv and see if it works.
@@juliescrafting ooooh! I see what you're saying! Yes keep us updated on the final results!
Hope you feel better soon.
It took me a few days to feel better, but am okay. Was really scary for a couple days.
