People may or may not remember that this music was expanded from a 30 second piece composed by Sir Karl for a DeBeers Diamonds commercial. Sir Karl eventually expanded it into a full blown composition due to so many people inquiring about the "original composition" the commercial excerpt was from.

I wasn't aware that this commercial even existed, thank you so much for this piece of information! I guess that's what separates a good composer from an outstanding composer - being able to create this masterpiece out of a 30sec commercial. it's wonderful

@@joshmartini7443 you're correct, De Beers' "A diamond is forever" 1993. You can find it also by "de beers tv commercial 1993" instead. Anyway, this masterpiece took him only three years to finish: 1993-1996.

Really I think Poland has higher youth performing in symphony which is extremely popular the world over. Their passion and higher degree of involvement is clearly visible in their outstanding rendition, hats off Hats off to them and their dedication outsmarted many nations.

No matter whatever you play, under your conduction and with excellent musicians and soloists the performance is always a dream of beauty and happiness. Thank you lovely Poland!!!

Just supertb in every way. Congratulations to the soloists, the orchestra, conductor and the technical crew. This is the equal of anything I have ever heard/seen by a professional orchestra.

I didn't know this full expansion of Palladio before. A lovely discovery. Beautifully played. Thanks to the orchestra and a big thanks to sir Karl Jenkins for composing it. I imagine you looking over the loughor estuary as you composed it.

What a heavenly performance.. They've achieved an unmatched level of performance for young players..

Roughly one year ago I was looking for a good orchestra that played classical pieces and film themes. I stumbled across this channel and this particular video and gave it a chance. I'm amazed at the talent and skill and am so thankful I found this.

The Polish Film Academy has always done excellent recording work from what I have seen and heard.

C'est magique, si seulement j'étais comme vous, enfants jeunes et puissants de l'âge, inscrits dans des écoles de musique prestigieuses. Bien que j'aime la lecture et l'écriture. Je trouve que la musique et le dessin sont des créateurs de rêves.

Just discovered Jenkings and this piece, and I'm completely mesmerized and addicted to it! I wish it was more famous, such a beautiful composition. Even though it is probably the 5th time I've listened to it today, I'm still completely speechless!! Well, maybe not that much, since I manage to write that much about it haha

Such talented performers! It sounds like it would be easy for the allegretto to end in a sea of muddiness, but this orchestra pulled it off beautifully. It was clean, crisp, and every note was clear. Well done!

Very interesting composition. I had never heard it. I understand from the comments below it was originally composed for a commercial. I find it amusing that such art has permeated so far, since we usually tend to think about commercials as second rate art. They are obviously not always. Congratulations to these "kids"!

As videos of succeeding music school classes over the years show, these gifted young students have lost none of their elan or professionalism. They are a sight to behold. And it should be remembered; If I am not mistaken, that the folks behind the cameras and mics are themselves students which is equally incredible. Their work rivals if not surpasses many "professionally" recorded concerts I have witnessed. May your next 200m views be as successful as your 1st 200m!
