    Really? You people have a deluded perspective on reality. She was committed to the message and believed in what she was doing. In 2020 the country gave her the mandate to do what she willed. It wasn't egotism or megalomania, she wanted to make the world a better place. Unfortunately she didn't listen to the country and her resignation before the election showed that the country had had enough. This is a lesson in power corrupting absolutely even the most well intentioned.

    If NZ ever found out the actual true economic cost to our society of Ardern’s covid response, her treatment would be far worse. Britain incurred the same cost of WW11 in the first year of lockdowns. NZ had more stringent lockdowns, so our bill will be similar if not more. Sadly we will never know as the government, msm have agreed to move on, out of combined guilt.

    It's ok to have an opinion whether, generous or not and it's ok to have a meaningful grudge forever if you are that inclined. Jacinta should never have been PM in the first place for that matter, Labour should never have been the government, obviously we know that now, she divided the country on a number things, three waters, treaty rights, people lost jobs business and now the country in financial ruin, to name a few issues, on the other side it was the era that wokism came out of the closet so to speak and journos were into cancel culture mode aligning themselves with the left, so if Jacinta goes to bed with a headache every night, l'm not going to loose any sleep over it .

    To Bob. Because Maori have a convenient memory about their history. Nowadays they make it up as they go along. Bastardising their own culture!! It's sadly, pathetic!! Jacinda made her bed... And she's now repping the consequences, whether you agree or not. She stood up there and lied to us all.... I don't condone violence, but she put herself in harm's way by treating us, the public like idiots.... And was so patronising!! Power went to her head!! Literally and figuratively.... Her ego got the better of her!! A message to all MPs that let their ego get the better of them!! You're there to serve the public... Not the other way around!! Ego trips most up!! She's a good example of that theory!!

    Agreed that at an individual level, aggressive vitriol towards Ardern is unwarranted... But at a societal level, the fact that she is essentially exiled speaks volumes about how the NZ public feels about her time in office as a whole. Her supporters write it all off as "covid deniers being mad about the lockdowns." While there is plenty to criticize about the govt's handling of lockdowns, there has been an absolute tsunami of information coming out about her govt's behind the scenes anti-democratic machinations, systemic media and public manipulation (pretty rich for someone who blathered on endlessly about "misinformation"), race and gender baiting, and erosion of rights and freedoms, not to mention her constant blaming of any criticism on misogyny. She tried to create a public persona of "the lady next door who is everyone's friend". What kind of relationship is it when one person in such a relationship wields all the authority of the nation and can appear daily in a corrupted media to gaslight the populace any time they express dissent against her? Abusive is what that is. Ardern abused her position to forward political agendas that were not in the public interest. Look at the last election. The new govt campaigned on a platform of getting rid of the nonsense woke policies Ardern brought in, and the received a huge public mandate to do just that. Isn't it amazing how fast she railroaded her firearms ban through parliament, yet couldn't do a single thing about massively inflated housing and food costs. Says a lot about who she really believed her constituents to be: to hell with the working class Labour had traditionally represented, middle class Wellington wokesters were her people and screw everyone else. There is plenty for the NZ citizenry to be angry about. If that makes it hard for Ardern to live in NZ, then that should be a warning to other "glorious leader" politicians going forward.

She selected a foreign minister on race, not credentials, also pushing this policy throughout NZ govt institutions which is discrimination101. I wish to push my agenda on the Marsden Point rebuild as we need our petrochemical production if we are going to be a first-world country. All food in our supermarkets and roading has a fossil fuel element to it. I would push for China to be the contractor in this endeavor as they have a successful professional and proven track record of quality infrastructure projects internationally, on time, and within budget. We need a sober view of China's human rights issues that are falsely claimed to be by Western propaganda. China respects the sovereignty of all nations The US bombs and China builds! China wants to trade not war and will be the dominant economic superpower. There are over a thousand petrochemicals we use unknowingly. Except that's not how it happened Bob. ACT got 9% but polled less! They DID do better than polled - surprisingly! Whereas NZ First polled more yet got less - again, surprisingly. Pretty much a mirror image opposite of one another other. That's a bit peculiar don't you think? It's certainly not likely. That one party would poll higher & fall by the amount the other had as an increase. Seems mighty bloody fishy to me. The ONLY reason NZ First got in was because of the Maori seat overhang, otherwise they weren't needed. But who could have predicted that? Certainly not the election fraudsters.

  • @austingtir
    @austingtir7 ай бұрын

    This is the problem with politics not just in NZ. Its predictable. People are going to vote the same parties election after election left or right. The only way to get real change is a proper cleanout. Winston has been making the right noises but I still doubt he'll keep it up and long term NZ needs someone with millionaire backing and good media skills to take the torch. And frankly I doubt that will come from within NZ first. Shane Jones is not going to cut it. NZ needs someone else to step up. And Cindy deserves everything she gets and more. She should never be able to walk down a street in NZ unhindered.

    Oh WOW, a person who does not need "a looking glass" to see what the Voting patterns of the past, have been & what it will be in the future. I commend you on a very stable fact, the second paragraph "nails it". Your able comment can also be applied to Australia, and one only has to look at who the public voted for - starting in Victoria,/ Daniel Andrews as the repeat contender, the Queensland, Western Australia, Northern Territories - then recently South Australia - all have voted for a Labour Party - the "other Contributors have a limited look at winning, more from poor performance". Then you have to ask, in NZ, why "the recent switch" as we have in past - 'have followed the same pathway' as your 2nd paragraph so rightly points out. I hope those who watch this video, become Readers of all comments, but ponder on yours - it is worthy to note. As for Ms Ardern, we have not heard the last of Her.
