Lyrics Below:
It glittered and it gleamed
For the arriving beauty queen
A ring and a car
Now you're the prettiest by far
No party she'd not attend
No invitation she wouldn't send
Transfixed by the inner sound
Of your promise to be found
"Nothing or no one will ever
Make me let you down"
Kiss them for me, I may be delayed
Kiss them for me if I am delayed
It's divoon, oh it's serene
In the fountains pink champagne
Someone carving their devotion
In the heart-shaped pool of fame
"Nothing or no one will ever
Make me let you down"
Kiss them for me, I may be delayed
Kiss, kiss them for me, I may find myself delayed
On the road to New Orleans
A spray of stars hit the screen
As the tenth impact shimmered
The forbidden candles beamed
Kiss them for me, I may be delayed
Kiss them for me, I may find myself delayed
Kiss them for me, kiss them for me
Kiss them for me, I may find myself delayed
Kiss them for me, kiss them for me

I adore Siouxsie. I'm 64 now and still find her hypnotic and mesmerising. She was my queen back in my punk/goth days. I still do my make-up like hers! 🤣❤

Siouxsie And The Banshees - Kiss Them For Me (Official Music Video) 0429am 18.9.23 a what? i see she's still at it. which is cool, i suppose... an antidote to the kinder reich of nowadays trite musical formats, i suppose... all cruddy spliced samples and vile odes to whatever. this is more in keeping with the Cocteau Twins, though. so, i dunno how innovative this will be deemed... she seems to be stood onstage replete with guitars these days... anyhow, not much to say other than it seems like a magazine fuelled romp thru the ages these past few days...adios, old ham.

For some inexplicable reason you all refer yo mendicants' or your verbal/literary foe(s) as being retarded or of the early learning ilk. sadly, the being awake for several week straight is nearer the mark. Reading dribble or drivel? Only you'll know the answer to that. At present your spite and venom offends me not... But keep at it.

She looked so effortlessly elegant here. This short visit to “normal“ pop music was great, it always makes me wonder what other course she (and they as a group) might have taken if they had embraced more poppy stuff before. Who knows - it might have been amazing. They might have taken the New Order route with their own distinctive spin. That said, what a great iconic band & singer, and we love them for what they are!

But we were bombarded by chart sh*t too; when people do '80s or '90s nights it's only the crap they play, as if the good stuff never existed! Having KZread is the real luck; music's easier to find, with videos I never saw at the time unless a mate's parents had MTV - but all at our finger tips now! No having to hunt it down via sneery shops owners who think 'house music' is all. Music that won't get scratched, stolen or eaten by a cassette player. You can surround yourself with your chosen music from the past xx decades as if the crap doesn't exist! ❤️

I saw this iconic lady and her band live at Nottingham’s Rock City promoting their Superstition album in the early 1990s where this great song came from. Strange enough, I was watching a KZread documentary on actress Jayne Mansfield the other night, which this song is dedicated to. Such a tragic end to such a beautiful woman, who could’ve reached her acting potential had it not been the misogyny in the Hollywood movie business back then. She wasn’t a dumb blonde either, as Jayne was relatively well spoken and had a very high IQ of 163.

I think this is the most beautiful that Siouxsie was seen in ANY of the music videos she was seen in. This was a music video where she was seen with her most 'Natural' face. It is probably in her portrayal of the Jane mansfield character in the music video, where she just was able to naturally portray that character in the visual of the music video.
