I have struggled with this vice my whole life. Not until I started saying the rosary every day, trying to pray unceasingly and doing novenas did I finally learn how to have custody over my eyes and have the strength to fight! Our beautiful Holy Mother will help. I'm not saying I don't fall somewhat, but certainly have deliverance from it! Praise God, Jesus, Mother Mary and all the saints and angels!!!

From personal experience I can tell you what I had to do. Firstly, immediately after confession and received Holy Communion, I immersed myself in continual prayers around the clock via The prayer to St. Michael deliverance prayer you can find here. I let it play loudly while I slept. I went to Mass everyday for over a month, avoided the occaisons of sin like the plague, begged God for deliverance in prayer the torments were enormous but I was given to know was necessary. Little by little it got better. After falling one more time I was then delivered after consecrating my life to the Blessed Virgin Mary and vowed purity and chastity to her to take to God. He accepted and I know this because He granted the grace to free me from the torments and I live happier and have a more abundant Life in The Lord! Not missing ANYTHING but an eternity of hellfire! The fear of God is the beginning of Wisdom. Praised Be The Lord God of all Creation, The Holy Trinity in Jesus & Mary!

YES! Because same here! We need to throw all the little Satan boxes out with the trash! I’m convinced it is impossible, after of course first confession and having constant recourse to our Lord and Lady by their Holy Names, to conquer such a vice and cardinal sin without avoiding their unnecessary occasions! We must try to practice the presence of God in these end times and age of Holy Mother Church’s Passion and Crucifixion! The Rosary, the Rosary, the Rosary! Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us and deliver and preserve us from all sins of the flesh!

Not sure if you’re still struggling, hope you’re not. I’ve been doing well against it lately but just last weekend i had a STRONG impure temptation. I kid you not i repeated the Hail Mary in English AND Latin without ceasing until it was gone. Please try that. The blessed virgin does not leave us when we call. Hopefully you’ve conquered it friend 👍🏼

This is a great sermon, but brings more despair than faith. It's very sad what our eyes have been accustomed to seeing these days. Unless you lived in a box, it's very hard to avoid these occasions of sin in most men's daily life. JESUS, MARY AND JOSEPH, ST. MARIA GORETTI, GUARDIAN ANGEL, HELP ME!!!!!!!!

It will comfort you and instill a strong Catholic faith. You will do much for the souls in purgatory too.

Ask to place God in the center of your life, because at the root of these vices is pride as we place ourselves in the center. Pray for a greater union of soul with your guardian angel to help you.

She did say that most souls end up in hell because of sins of the flesh. And many souls do go to hell because no one prays or makes sacrifices for them. Pray and make sacrifices for the conversion of sinners (Jas. 5:16). Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. (Gal. 5:19-21) And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. (Gal. 5:24) For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. (Rom. 8:7) For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. (Rom. 8:13) For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. (Rom. 8:5-8) The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in quarreling and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires. (Rom. 13:12-14) For all that is in the world-the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions-is not from the Father but is from the world. ( 1 Jn. 2:16) So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. (1 Pet. 2:19) Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, so as to live for the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for human passions but for the will of God. For the time that is past suffices for doing what the Gentiles want to do, living in sensuality, passions, drunkenness, orgies, drinking parties, and lawless idolatry. With respect to this they are surprised when you do not join them in the same flood of debauchery, and they malign you; but they will give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. ... (1 Pet. 4:1-19) And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed. (2 Pet. 2:2)

Indeed, this is quite in-depth reading and one should search themselves in truth as though they are before the throne of the Lord our God! They should look at themselves and the life they are living. Are they carrying their cross or are they working hard for their life's prosper substituting the rationale of loving, caring and sharing? Especially at the expense of others without knowing our Lord and God except by make believe? Giving a pretended sacrifice only as a means of self satisfaction? Today, I sadly oh Lord, great numbers, as though a sea of so many that have a mental blindness of self aggrandizement; picking and choosing what they want to believe, intellectualize and justify, striving for that illusion so self Peace, Love, Comfort, Practicality, Convenience and Joy while they are quite unaware of how these impure sins contribute to their demise hidden within these words. These addictions and self delusions they are not even warn about. Rather, their games, their social lives, their jobs and family to mention a few are all before thee. May our Lord and God forgive us so many ungrateful and lead us not into temptation. I agree with the message. Applying it is difficult and it is why I seek the Lord our God in my daily life. Why I choose to repent, reform, and amend my life. I wonder about others..

To those afflicted with weakness in this area, you must become a coward. Flee like a doe or a small child to the mantle of our lady and our lord. Pray to St Anthony that he may throw his tunic over your shoulders and wrap his cord around your waist as he did the friar in the monastery. Impeccable custody of the mind and concupiscence of the eyes is a must. That second glance… Finally a furious and tearful meditation on the mercy of Jesus in your wickedness, the refinement of authentic contrition for self inflicted darkening of the mind and deep seated warping of the faculties will lay the foundation of a successful recovery from the jaws of hell (by God’s grace) May your seed not be strangled by the thorns. One should aspire never to fall, with the strictness and resolve of a father. Saint Joseph is the last line of defence. Should one fall, seek out an immediate and detailed confession and much, much penance for the reparation of sins. Reparation is going on the attack against this sin. Do not avoid social interaction lest the other virtues suffer. Small measured rejections and awareness like a soldier on guard will over time cultivate the virtue of chastity. If you are a man, the earthly measures of routine, physical training, cold showers and nutritious food should be par for the course. God bless you and remember; God loves an underdog, and a great battle with a glorious victory. How glad he will be you paid back a fraction of a fraction of the debt all the days of your life. I am praying for your victory.

Hmm, disagree in the "Null" Confession. Because it's not us who are deserving forgiveness and undermines the graces of confession, by thinking, that you are forgiven only ,when you have the "feeling" that you truly repented. Whats the point of confession if we all had "true" contrition? The true contrition, is when you simply say every mortal sin in your conscious and not hiding anything, let God do the rest. Also, Job's had bigger problem than purity, it was the way he though of purity, Job struggled with moralism. He was only concerned with obeying the law and it's punishment or rewards, but he forgot God himself is the gift and loving him would "free" him form the law.

Therefore, this thing (which the Catechism teaches "touches all aspects of the human person"), for me, has NO good use. Therefore, for me, my sexuality is evil. Something that can only be used for evil can not be good. For me, it can only be used for evil, as a single... so it's evil, for me.

@@markcharron , are you saying that one who is in a state of life where they cannot fulfill their sexual nature does not merit grace for themself or someone else when offering up their sufferings? It is true that one cannot engage in sexual relations morally, because they are not married, but one can use this opportunity to grow in virtue by self denial which by effect creates self mastery. Furthermore, one who lives a single life can give themselves, and sometimes with more zeal and passion, to the Church in various ways. They direct their built up energy outwards towards others. Some of the most feminine woman I know and masculine men I know are the ones who have promised or vowed celibacy and have conquered purity. They exhibit what true sexuality is. Our bodies are not bad or evil, but because of concupiscence, it is a matter of re-aligning our sexual nature under the power of our will and intellect. Keep up the fight and keep close to the sacraments. In Christ, Marcus F.

You don't need a phd in theology to teach a class at a parish, but only to receive the permission of the Pastor. Right there are three things you could do. I'm not saying these are easy, because they will challenge you with prep work, but there are things. Some other things could be: visiting the elderly from your parish, visiting the elderly at nursing homes (they REALLY need people to bring Christ to them), get involved with a homeless shelter or food kitchen...
